Hi,

My 2 year old's nappies has recently started leaking at night, every night. She generally sleeps on her stomach so each morning her whole pants and top is wet. Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions? We used to use Bum Genius cloth nappies but they were leaking so we are now using Aldi ones.

Thanks!

3 options really.

1. Try a different brand. Huggies used to be great for over night.

2. Go up a size in nappy for night time. Larger = more absorbent.

3. Get a larger size Nappy to put on over the smaller one (putting small holes in the smaller one, allowing it to seep through to the larger one.

If you are still wanting to use cloth, maybe try a dedicated night nappy?

I have heard good things about both Sandmans and the Bambooty night nappy.

I currently use a BBH bamboo multi-fit with a bamboo trifold instead of the regular inserts, along with either a BBH cover or a fleece cover. Never had a leak.

I second huggies for overnight - they blow up like a balloon!

Thanks for the replies! I will try the Huggies as a start and if it doesn't work, will try the double.

Would love to go back to cloth but a little too busy at the moment.

Ta Da!
Same problem with our DD at the same age. We tried a few different brands (cloth) and added extra boosters but ultimately we ended up going for Huggies - in a size up and in the boys (DD is also a tummy sleeper) and then put training pants over the top to help keep her dry. We also briefly boosted the disposable.

We were using BBH with a wool cover and as much boosting as we could without making DD uncomfortable. DD is just a heavy wetter and nothing was keeping her dry even the disposables for a while there, hence boosting the disposable!

ETA - have found the Huggies pull ups to be better than the regular front fastening nappies, again in the boys and a size up.
