Hey everyone! waves.gif I am a newbie here so thought I would say hi. I have been reading the forum topics, picking up all the hints and tips...and getting used to all the acronyms!

I will be 40yo when I have bub at end of October. It's my first time so I am very excited but nervous at the same time. I am almost at my 12wk mark, have known about bub since 4wks so feels like it has been taking f-o-r-e-v-e-r to get to this point.

I moved to Gold Coast 2years ago, my parents, inlaws and friendss are all interstate so I feel a little alone with the pregnancy. Looking forward to getting to know you good folks on here so I don't feel so alone biggrin.gif

Hi Shellycs,
Welcome - I'm new as well! I joined last year when tttc now I'm off the pill and df and I are hoping for the best. I'm currently 37 so glad to see someone else around my age lol. All the best with your pregnancy. If you don't mind me asking had you been on the pill for a long time? How long did it take you to fall pregnant? I'm a little worried since I've been on contraception since I was 16 years old as too how long it will take my body to get back to normal cycles lol. All the best. rolleyes.gif

Hi Blooming Bloomer,

I'm also new today and isolated and mature. biggrin.gif İ'm living in Turkey, yet to make friends here and I'll be 37 when my baby arrives. The net and Skype have been really helpful. Welcome to you and me. I'm looking forward to sharıng. original.gif

PS - Hopeful Angel, I was only on the pill a year or two but had really irregular periods and at one point was diagnosed PCOS. I always thought it would be veeeerrrrry hard to conceive. A Chinese dr in Melbourne has an excellent success rate for regulating periods and assisting conception. I took his herbs ın a powder form. There's a good chance they assisted our conception!

Hi Hopeful Angel!

Like you I had been on the pill since I was 16...probably came off it for a year before I met my DF and then went back on it till end August last year when I stopped. I actually had probs when I went back on it and had to change to a milder pill.

I thought being 39 and the fact that I had been on pill for so long it might take a while but I was up the duff in January. I am still in disbelief that it is actually happening and so quickly.

I've also been drinking goji juice for the last 3 years - not saying that had any part in it. I have also had no morning sickness which has been great.
