This weeks photo challenge is AUTUMN.

(I think its about time we have this challenge again)!

Show me how this season affects you. Does it mean glorious change in colour of the leaves? Bringing out the quilts for the chilly evenings/mornings? A change in sports? Are you dusting off your recipe books for those warming comfort foods? Does a steaming hot mug and a blanket over your toes mean Autumn has come for you?

This weeks theme was also inspired by this stunning photo by Millie71 - Autumn at Araluen.

I'm looking forward to seeing your entries everyone! original.gif

The rules:
One photo per person which has been taken this week (starting TUESDAY). Everyone is welcome to join in. Competition will start Tuesday with submissions ending the following Monday.

If you wish, please note your rating after your image:
Rating 1 Beginner (just got my camera)
Rating 2 Amateur (learning about settings)
Rating 3 Hobbyist (have a good grasp of the theory)
Rating 4 Semi Pro (improved well beyond when I started)
Rating 5 Pro/serious hobbyist (I'm well experienced and have been doing this for quite a while)

All images must be up by next MONDAY at (9pm EDST, 8pm EST, 7.30pm CST, 6pm WST) for inclusion.

Remember the EB rules state images within posts must be smaller than 500 (wide) x 470 (high) pixels and 100kb.

That is what I love about "Autumn at Araluen" Mercurial Its not your typical "cool weather" photo but it does evoke the feeling of Autumn with its spectacular golden colour!

Here in Brisbane its still warm during the day, but the early mornings and evenings are getting chilly.

Bec, I currently have a Nikon D70.

Yep Brissy here too. I agree getting up at 5 to work there's a noticeable chill in the air - can't wait for it to cool down a bit more though.

That shot is just awesome Millie - gorgeous colours.

Yay, another Brissy girl here biggrin.gif I'm loving these cooler mornings.

Teri, didn't you get that camera not long ago? Where are you going overseas? Seems to be the week for broken cameras, a friend of mine dropped hers in the water.

Millie71 - stunning shot.

Wendy, I can add another person to the broken camera tally! On the same day that I took the photo that won last weeks challenge, my father-in-law got swept off his feet when a rogue wave came in and he lost his camera (and mobile and wallet all got a dunking too). It was a little p&s and while we did manage to recover it (the waves sucked it back towards the sea), it had sand all through it. A total write off. I was hanging back far up the washline because I was afraid of just that happening to me!!

I've had my D70 for some time now, it was a secondhand camera and bought because our previous D70 had died. We had all the lens etc so we just bought a replacement camera body. It did the job and worked well for so long, but no longer. sad.gif

There's no autumn colours in Melbourne sad.gif. W seem to have either bypassed them or it's too early. I did take a photo today so if I can't come up with anything else, will just enter it
