Really wanting to organise our pantry and to date I have purchased some random clear plastic containers for our flour, sugar etc from Woolies. They do the job, but are quite mismatched (my fault for not buying all the same brand).
I'd love the Tupperware Modular Mates set but I cannot afford the $200+ price tag for the ones on EBAY.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Is there somewhere I can buy Tupperware items cheaper or are there other brands/sets out there that are available in full sets for a more affordable price?
Why does Tupperware with its coloured lids look so good LOL?!!!

I have the decor containers and they are doing the job ok for now. I plan on swapping them over to Tupperware (when I save up). Im keeping an eye out on eBay and garage sales.

They are exxy though.

The Decor Sets look pretty good dont they.
I think the containers I have now might be Decor (or at least some of them).
They do the job but I have written the contents eg Caster Sugar in permanent marker on the side so I know what is in each. I saw on their website they sell tags but I've never found them in Woolies.
Why is Tupperware so expensive?! It looks fantastic but I wonder whether it is really that much better (to warrant a price difference comparing about $5 with $25 for a similar sized container).
I'd love to open my pantry and see all this neatly arrange food with coloured lids LOL!

I like the Sistema Klip It range - and as a bonus, it's half price at Coles this week. They seem to get them on sale every couple of months at Coles, so I just grab a couple each time rather than buying them all in one hit.

I like the Sistema containers, you can buy them in Woolies or a larger range in Big W, they are bpa free as well. I find them nice and solid, not expensive, I have quite a few now in all shapes and sizes.

i have the tupperware ones. i love opening my pantry and seeing it all organised in the matching containers with the nice typed labels but they are expensive. what about the system brand?

http://www.sistemaus.com/

i use these for lunches/leftovers etc and they are great don't leak etc....

If i had to redo my pantry again id probably try these instead of forking out for tupperware. Nothing i dislike about it, its just very exy for plastic!

I find the Decor containers break/split easily as they are a bit "brittle". They warp easily too.
The Systema are good but the plastic clip handles are the weak spot as they can break off.
I'm in the process of switching to Tupperware modular mates, I haven't found anything better. They are strong, seal well and nothing to split or break in usual circumstances, ie dropping, which I do a lot (slippery fingers). I've been buying them over 2 years and I'm almost there.
I've still got lots of bits and pieces for dd's snacks etc and storing food in the fridge/freezer. I can't rationalise using Tupperware for everything.

Yes actually that is a good point LuckyTwo, I've had sistema clips break off as well.
Also find that pasta sauces have stained our decor containers but I suspect that may happen to any plastic container
