Have never used one but have been tempted to buy one (too late now). I've always thought they just look so much more comfortable than sitting on the cold, hard plastic and metal bits, but have honestly never been concerned about the hygeine factor. If anything I have sometimes wiped the trolley bar AFTER I've finished shopping, not before.

sick of CHAOS? then FLY...
Ergo back carry until 12/18mths
or no cover
or a blanket/cot blanket
I also kinda made my own basic version but it wasn't really one of them
just a 'thing' that fit neater in the trolley than a blanket
and I more did it for comfort because that thing on the back of the seat always pokes into little people.

That said, the state of some of the trolleys I have seen I was far happier using the Ergo! original.gif

No cover, no wiping - just dont see the need when anything and everything that DD can reach goes into her mouth anyway. DD has been sitting in the trolley since about 7 months and you're right - it makes the shopping experience so much easier!

I never used one, no. I've seen a few at the shops lately, but by far I see more without than with.

we don't use one but we normally stuff the ergo down the back as a bit of padding because DS is a bit small and it is a handy place to keep the ergo. I would like a padded thingy to go over the coin holder bit with the chain because DS ( he is 7 months not 6 so its not so odd) likes to suck on the chain and inevitably hits his head on the holder bit.

I thought those covers were for comfort reasons than hygienic.

Well, that's why I was getting one.

My DS has traveled on cityrail since birth and can certainly handle a few puny supermarket trolley germs.

I've seen them being used twice in my life total. I figured we don't use trollys that often, and well my children have licked things.. a lot of things Tounge1.gif and they seem okay. Plus I'm kind of cheap... I did consider it especailly for my little one as they were easier to get and half the price that they were for dd1 but really I figured dd1 was okay so...
