Stressed....Whose Stressed...Who Said That!
Hi,

I was searching online for doll houses, and I ordered and received a catalogue from them. OMG they are gorgeous, expensive, but I so want one rolleyes.gif and this got me thinking...as a child my sister was given a secondhand dolls house, as the youngest sibling I was only allowed to play with it some times....I loved it and its something I have always wanted.

So now I ask you....Is there a place in your heart/memory where you see something you had or wanted as a kid and you buy it for your children, like a substitute thing?

Or you so wanted something as a child, and you eventually bought it just for you?

I'd so love the dolls house, but I have no room for it cry1.gif

I bought a rusty old dragster pushbike when I was 31 (for me) as I had desperately wanted one as a girl.

I then discovered that they are making them in adult sizes for adults!!! (still saving up though.... one day, one day...)

~If I only had a heart~
I had accumulated a few dollhouses wwhistle.gif luckily I now have a DD who loves them too.

Where did you find beautiful dollhouses? Link please...

I had desperately wanted a little fairy type doll house when I was little, it was a tree that expanded out <someone born in the 70s will know what I am talking about>. Anyway I found a very close replica in Tokyo last xmas and left it behind- I will go back for it this xmas biggrin.gif

You'll find the room for your dollhouse- look a little harder.

You said no strings could secure you, at the station...
When we buy a cubby house for the backyard it will be as much for dh and me as for ds. When I was a kid I made cubby houses out of giant cardboard boxes (like the ones you get fridges and washing machines in) but we didnt have the money for a proper wooden cubby. Owen adores the cubby at his daycare and has been asking if Santa can bring one for the last three months, so I think we will save up and get one original.gif I foresee many hours playing in it!

I want a trampoline. So. Bad.

I always wanted one as a kid, and loved going to my cousin's place who had one. Although their's was great. No foam, totally worn in, no safety at all. We would jump off of the trees that surrounded it and touch the ground when we jumped. If I got one now I think I would be a bit dissillusioned with all the safety features and lack of spring.. but.. I still want one. biggrin.gif
