I am going to memorise your name and throw away my head
Hi I want to buy Downtown Abbey on Itunes to put on my ipad. The buy option is ghosted and it won't let me. It's definately series 1 and it won't let me buy other things either like old series of The Mentalist and other movies.

Some things it will let me buy though. I havn't bought TV shows/movies before so is there some setting I need to change?

If not, when can't I buy them?

Cat

PS - while we're at it, can I make folders of all the apps on itunes so I can put all the kids apps into one folder instead of trawling through them all when I want to add or delete and app from my device?

TIA original.gif

It's probably not available in Australia at the moment. It's really silly, if they made it a global market place, they would cut down on illegal downloading of copyright material.

Actually looks like I can buy season 1 so not sure. I didn't actually try to buy it but it would normally say if it wasn't available.

Annoying OP... along with none global markets in a global online world.. turning into a vent...

Why cant I buy from amazon.com or the amazon app store?
Why cant I get music at US iTunes prices?
I hate the fact I cant get many apps on Google Play or i App Store just because I live in Australia.

Season 1 is available in Australia. Plus it will let me buy it. So that's not the reason. Season 2 which is not available in the Australian store it wanted me to go to the UK store and let me go there but I didn't try and buy it as I don't want to buy it - not sure if it would have let me!

What I am taking a long time saying is that if it was because it wasn't available in Australia you would get that particular message so it must be something else.

get a US iTunes account and buy US gift cards from somewhere like jerrycards.com ph34r.gif

edit - you do pay a bit extra for the card value (i.e $13.99 for a $10 card) but I figure it's better than illegally downloading, right?

Nope, that's not it - I just went and had a look and I can buy it either as individual ep's or the whole season.

Have you got the most current version of itunes OP?

Why aren't ACCC onto this yet? It's as bad as the zoning on DVD players and they ruled that illegal.
