Sorry, but if it is pronounced Nash, I hate the spelling and wouldn't do that to a kid. They would always be called Nay-sh whenever someone read the name, and when people didn't know the spelling, they would misspell it.

I don't mind Nash, but it reminds me of something people do with their teeth. Sorry.

I'd stick to it as a middle name. If I read it I'd pronounce it Naysh and I much prefer both your first names to Naish anyway. If you really do want the pronounciation Nash as a first name, I'd definitely spell it that way.

To us Naish is a name that represents great strength creativity and focus in living a happyLife.
Whether there are more "formal" meanings or cultural references I'm not sure and not too concerned to be honest. We aren't using it for sOmeome else'sMeaning we are using it for our own if that makes sense.
Its funny - of the 20 friends I surveyed on pronunciation ofIt not one came back with naysh. All said Nash..
Either way I think we will be sticking with it As a middle name.

You will get a lot of people saying Nay-shh purely because phonetically the ai is pronounced ay. This is coming from a mother who has had 3 kids going through kindy doing the the jolly phonics program in he last 4 years. All of the sounds are permanently burned into my brain lol

I get a variant of Nash, (meaning at the ash tree) and an Australian female made up name when i google. Also a Hindi word of indeterminate meaning.

OP, please give it some more thought. It sounds made up, and now you made up a meaning for it also. Stick with Nash if you must use it.
