So DS was given some Haighs chocolate Easter eggs by my dad and his GF yesterday.

As he is only 2yo it is responsible parenting on my behalf to eat them and therefore limit his chocolate intake to a minimum.

This is the right thing to to yes? I will take one for the team.

I think it is irresponsible if you don't protect your children!

I've had to do it myself, several times already this weekend.

Parenting isn't always easy.

sanity is over-rated
yes what a good parent you are...

plus you never know if its a bad batch so you should always test them first... save them being tainted by bad chocolate...

yes it is a hard thing to do, but better to be safe than sorry... after all, every child under the age of 10 is allergic to chocolate right? Tounge1.gif

Absolutely! You are being a responsible parent by looking after his dental health and general health. Even if it means sacrificing your own.

My mother posted a Cadbury's Buttons Easter Egg for DD from the UK.
As I am currently 34 weeks pregnant with her second grandchild, I'm sure she nor DD will have any issue with me helping myself to a piece here and there so that the yet-to-be-born has a fair share in the Easter cheer. By proxy. ph34r.gif

I do the same thing OP.

But I take it a step further. I try to protect other people's children by buying and eating all of the easter eggs in the shops.

I think I should get some kind of award for my efforts.
