I don't know how to pronounce Amaya. I like May? And Amy and Amity as well, while I'm playing jumble.
When I think traditional but uncommon, I tend to think of the -line names like Evangeline, Emmeline, Caroline and some of the good-but-old-fashioned names like Esther and Willa, and the more traditional flower/gemstone names like Violet, Opal, Jessamine, Pearl, etc, but staying away from Lily and Ruby as they DO have a vintage feel (or did...) but are booming so much now. Damon and Esther for example would be really pretty. |
