I'm starting to wonder if I have a hair phobia (other people's hair, that is.) Apart from my children's and DH is bald so don't need to factor him into this question!

I was stuck in stationary traffic behind a woman driver who was combing her wet hair with her fingers. As soon as we started to move slowly forward, she tossed a clump of her hair out the window, which landed on my bonnet, where it stayed for a few seconds before drifting off. I thought "ewwww, yuck."

She then tossed out another clump which came through my open window and landed on my lap. I was mortified and actually felt physically ill. I pulled over and, with a tissue, removed the offending hair and put it in a nearby bin. Just thinking about it gives me the shudders!

So wondering if I may have a phobia, or was my reaction pretty normal? Obviously I am not a hair stylist!

I think it's pretty normal not to want bits cast off or out of people near you.

I would have put it in a zip lock bag and approached her, explained to her the story of how you obtained it, and in a rather shifty way which would promote suspicion offered her the chance to buy it back before you started 'using' it (perhaps for some voodoo witchcraft ritual, let her mind fill in the blanks).
