I haven't seen anyone having a hissy fit over their kid being told about Jesus at school.

Out and proud Roller Stroller wearer
Could it be the non-believers gave up complaining about the believers for Lent?

I suppose. It's just as likely as the believers giving up trying to spread the word for Lent.

The Librarian at school put up pictures and a brief synopsis of The Easter Story in the library (along with eggs and bunnies on the opposite wall) and I thought of you, EB Tounge1.gif

I would be having a hissy fit, except I'm now employed by a religious school and have to be seen to be being 'supportive of the ethos'

Although I had to work not to laugh aloud today when in our end of term church service, a reference was made to the hollow easter eggs representing Jesus' empty tomb. WTF??? What about the pagan roots of the whole thing, spring, rebirth, symbolic CHICKENS etc.

Personally, I'm more concerned that my DD1's scripture teacher asked a bunch of 5 year olds 'who wants to go and live with Jesus when they die' and gave the ones who put their hand up a lolly and a sticker. Plus the all important lesson on obedience which extended to doing everything that any adult or older person told you. Um... no, I don't want my DD1 doing whatever some stupid older kid at school tells her to do, or being overly compliant to creepy people with bad intentions.
