DS has just finished term 1 of Reception (FYOS) and is very dedicated to reading a school reader or two every night. So the very small pile he brought home for the holidays won't last more than a few nights. Is there an App for Australian school readers, with levels, that we could use? I have had a quick look but can't see anything. Many thanks.

Have you tried www.readingeggs.com

It's not actually books, but teaches reading and my DD loves it.

Try the local library. They often run special school holiday activities as well.

Library will be your best bet. If there was an app it would be VERY expensive.

These might be a tad easy http://www.speld-sa.org.au/index.php?optio...&Itemid=182

Stylist to my girls....
I wish!

The only literacy app I have found is starfall and that is great for teaching letters and sounds, not so much reading.

There are some apps which are read aloud books which my kids like.

It is not free but the Ladybird Classic Me app has great reader type books that you can download & your son can even record his voice to go with the story. One story comes with it, but extra stories are .99 cents.
