I started taking the mini pill (microlut) 4 days ago and my previously settled & happy baby has since become very whiny, uncomfortable, spewy & unsettled! Has anyone else experienced a similar problem?
He is 15 weeks old and is exclusively breastfed. Up until now he hasn't had trouble with wind or spewing but for the past 3-4 days he has had both issues. Also, the last few feeds he has been refusing the breast (pulling off & on).
Please help!

The mini-pill usually doesn't cause supply issues, but I've heard stories that it can, it might be that? Or he might have a bit of a bug and it's just coincided with you starting on the mini-pill.
If you're concerned go back to the GP and discuss the issues, you could try alternative contraceptives like IUD, implants or condoms until you're finished breasfeeding?

Ive taken the minipill while BF and havent had any issues. I have heard anecdotally that it can change the taste of your milk so a baby might fuss for a few days before they get used to it.

DD didn't have problems when I went on it. My first period was another matter though...

Thanks ladies. I will persist for a little bit longer but if it continues then I will have to stop taking it. I can't stand seeing my little guy in pain.
I am not having supply issues at all but I'm sure I will eventually if he continues to fuss and/or refuse feeds.

Maybe it's time for hubby to have the snip....
