I am booked it to have some foils put in my hair about a week after our transfer. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this is safe to do? I heard that foils are ok because the colour doesn't touch the scalp?
We're having family photos and my hair desperately needs coloring but obviously I'll hold off if it's going to affect our chances of a This post has been edited by pinkblue: 04/04/2012, 01:36 PM |

Foils = fine by me.
I also have a glass of wine though (my clinic suggested both a restaurant AND a wine one time- we have to travel all the way to the big city to see them and the nurse was trying to get us to have a good time while we were there!) so I may be very slack? |

When I had our first transfer, I was a little anxious too as I also needed to get my hair done quite badly, I called the clinic and they advised to wait to least until 12weeks. However I subsequently went to my hairdresser and she confirmed foils are fine as you point out the colour does not touch the scalp. So I would suggest it's fine to get foils done in the 2 week wait period.
All the best! Thanks for your reply. Any other thoughts? |

No I didn't end up getting it done due to what nurse advised, however sadly our first trsf was unsuccessful so when I went to the hairdresser subsequent she told me it is actually fine if you are pregnant.......I suppose see what the nurse advises you and then just go with what you feel comfortable.
Good luck |
