Hi ladies,

I took my last clomid tablet (50mg) on Sunday, I started on CD4 and finished CD8.
My side effects were hot flushes, and alot of them, I still get them every now and then I suppose I can put it down to experience for when my body decides to go through menopause ha ha. (Not for a long while yet).

My husband and I have been ttc for over a year now, with no luck. I have my brother and his wife and best friends both at 22 weeks pregnant so it's hard to see and talk to them all about baby stuff. But cant be more happier for them.

My husband and I went to see a FS who has told me that I have PCOS, and I do not ovulate myself. I have had my tubes checked and all is good there, my husband has had his sperm checked, again all good in that department.

I have a scan tomorrow to see if I have any follicles there ready to be released, and I have a blood test on CD21 to see if I have ovulated. I am currently on CD10.

Fingers crossed to everyone and hope you all get your BFP.

Hi All,

I am also on my first Chlomid cycle (50mg Day 2-6) and am cycle tracking this cycle also.

I can totally relate to the hot flushes and very sore breasts. But I am hoping it works for us.

I read on another forum that taking the tablets at night before bed may help. I started taking mine in the mornings, so will stick with that for this cycle.

Good luck.

I think it is important to get too hopeful with clomid. I read lots of success stories and was feeling very positive about it and it didn't work for me. I started on 25mg and worked right up to 150mg. Each cycle I did ovulate but apart from the last one (on 150mg) it was always late in the cycle and I had very short luteal phases.

However if you have a good dr who is monitoring you, you might have more luck as they can give trigger shots etc. My doctor didn't do any monitoring so eventually I changed specialists and the first thing my current doc said was "Well the clomid is obviously not working" which made me so frustrated that I spent eight months on it!

Just make sure you are monitored and that you don't stay on it for too long. I have read that if it doesn't work after 6 months it probably wont and can become dangerous for your ovaries.

Don't let my story make you feel negative though because it works for 4 out of 5 people (in making them ovulate) so you still have a great chance!!
