Just found out that Matthew Reilly's (author) wife Natalie died in December. She was only 36.

Very sad indeed. I was fortunate enough to have dinner with Matthew a couple of weeks ago and he is doing ok, although the subject of his wife didn't come up. It was lovely of him to come down to Tassie so soon after her loss, and he was very gracious to his fans.

Yes, I was shocked to read this on his website a couple of months ago. Very sad.

I was very shocked to read this (he posted it on his Facebook early January I think?). He is such a lovely man and we had just seen him at a book signing/talk a few weeks before she passed away, and you could tell the way he spoke about her, how much he loved her. Very sad.

I met him at a book signing on 2nd December last year, and he was happy and cheery, definitely not upset about his wife, so I suspect it was sudden

So sad and unexpected. I "like" his Facebook page, and he has shared a few messages on there.
