I called him/her 'Young Tarquin' for a couple of weeks, as that's the name I use to describe stereotypical spoiled upper class tots. "Oh yes, young Tarquin is coming along splendidly!" DP said he wasn't using that, pick something else. He/she is now Beanie, because of his size and the fact that all of him can currently fit in a newborn's beanie. original.gif

At this stage (6 weeks) we don't really refer to bubs as anything. We talk about 'the pregnancy' but I think after the dating scan (next week) things will seem a bit more real and we'll hopefully be able to relax a little.

After having a ectopic pg a few years ago, I think it's got to do with me not getting too attached before reaching the first milestone (dating scan where I can hopefully see that it's the right spot and has a strong HB) IYKWIM?

DH has got into the habit of referring to it as Junior burger which is code seeing as our other kids don't know yet! Not sure I am a big fan of this.

At our dating scan, both DH and I thought our little bub looked like a tiny miner, hard at work.

So, we call her/him the minor.

Love the names of pp's. So cute!
