Hello

I am extrememly new to this my DH and I have been TTC for 18 months and after a cancelled IVF cycle I am now 6 weeks pregnant.

I have however been feeling a bit of period like cramping that has been coming and going for the last couple of days and was wondering if this was normal or should I make another appointment to see my GP?

I look forward to your responses

generally speaking, totally normal. The uterus is already beginning to stretch and enlarge to make room for the growing baby!!

congratulations!!

Yep, I had it every day from4-6 weeks, then some more at 8 weeks. cramping with back pain just like my period was coming.

No bleeding ever came and I've seen a healthy heartbeat 3 times.

It's just your uterus stretching to make plenty of room.

I got those pains with all three of my pregnancies. So it does happen in normal pregnancies.

If it was real severe though I would see a care provider.

Good luck.

Hi klr10, congratulations.

I to have had on & off pains (not bad, just annoying) i'm 5 weeks.
however whilst i feel like they are normal i still checked with the Dr. for peace of mind as you need to look out for others things like bladder infections etc.
good luck
