Another that only sees the doctor when there's something to see the doctor about or for immunisations. Other than that, we go to the CHN for developmental checks and a quick weigh and measure but that's about it. I don't weigh in between, I can tell DS is growing well by the way I keep having to buy him new clothes and shift the shoulder markers on his seat.

My kids only go to the doctor if absolutely necessary no matter what age they are!
Your friend is strange as she is purposely taking her baby into a waiting room full of sick people just to have their development looked at - why is she not utilising the MCHN or similar instead of exposing her baby to a myriad of possible viruses etc on a regular basis at the doctors surgery? I mean, she should think about it. A medical centre is where sick and infectious people go! |
