Hi,

DS2 is becoming a real challenge! I am anticipating a long 12 months as he has just turned two so I think I need to read up a bit.

DS1 wasn't too bad to handle really so this one is a shock! He loves throwing things on the floor, climbing onto kitchen benches, chests of drawers etc, not eating dinner most nights a week and throwing it on the floor, you know the usual 2 year old behaviour. I have started the time out stool but he still isn't getting it!

I did hear of a good book by Robyn someone but have forgotten the name and title. Which books have you found most useful?

The Mighty Toddler by Robin Barker might be the one you mean, I've found it really useful

It wasn't Robyn Barker I'm familiar with her, but that has reminded me I should check the library for her book thanks!

Yes that is him! Parenting for a Peaceful World I was thinking about, thanks. Although now I've looked at it I don't think it particularly aimed at toddler years but looks interesting anyway.

I read about a year ago a book called 'Honey i wrecked the kids' by Alyson Schafer. I found it to offer great advice to dealing with kids who don't respond to think like timeouts and rewards. I really should read it again now that DD is older and timeouts and rewards no longer work Tounge1.gif
