I think it depends on the hospital and how long you carried your previous singleton, etc.
Some hospitals or Ob's will let you go into labour naturally and then perform the caesar. But not sure how common this is.

How are you feeling now anyway? Were you hoping for a vaginal delivery?

I am having a shocking day and can't move from the lounge. My mum is here now thank goodness so I am not even trying to move now.

nyb - today I feel like absolute crap ! I've had some reno's start today so no chance of a sleep, but DH has just said he'll be home by half 3 - relief ! And mum called to say she is dropping off dinner. I am lucky I have such great support. My hips are so damn sore - if I've been sitting/lying down awhile, I have to be really careful before I put weight on them again, and I'm so fidgety and restless, forget restless leg syndrome, I have restless body syndrome - yet another reason I can't sleep.

Stupid people aren't flammable enough
Can you ask for a referral to see a physio? They may be able to help you with some ideas do reduce the pain in your hips?

I dont know how practical it would be, but could you buy/hire some crutches to use occasionally so that when you are standing and walking, you can bear some of the weight on your arms rather than having it all on your legs and hips?

I can relate to the restless body syndrome too. I find an extra dose of iron helps a bit with it. Enough to help me feel sane anyway.

Good luck with the reno. We did our bathrooms when DS1 was 8 weeks old. I used to wander the streets with him in the pram, as it was so noisy and messy at home. Ours took 8 weeks, when it was meant to take 4. Hopefully yours doesn't stretch out too long.

Caesar booked for Monday - yippee !!! Both boys now breech but healthy, so Monday it is - I'll be 37 + 3 so can't complain really.

Am a bit nervous about the op, as have never been under the knife before, I hope I recover quickly as I want to be able to pick my babies up right away.

How are you going, nyb ??

Oh wow, how exciting!!!

I am doing well (34+6 weeks). Both boys are big and measuring at 38+2 and 38+1 so all good there. I think I have 2 weeks left at the most, but we'll see. They are both head down still so I'm hoping for as natural delivery as possible. We'll see on that one too.

Look forward to hearing your announcement after the big day, when you get around to it. Good luck with it all and hope you have a speedy recovery.
