RI30 – Level 3 done and dusted for today. Inside bike ride for an hour this morning which is my standard Thursday. I thought DD was going to have her nap, but she got up and joined in. I’m going to have fit kids at this rate. She goes and puts on her ‘exercise’ clothes (bathers, swimming cap and goggles!) and joins in. I’ve found some wooden wheels from a car that look like hand weights, so she uses them too.

DandS. I found it much easier today too. I also find it easier when I’ve done it a few times, and know what exercise is coming up next. The first few times I do it I seem to fluff around a bit getting weights right etc. I actually found the spider pushups much easier today. Still hate that plank cardio. My arms / hands hurt by the end. You are on fire! On Mon, Wed and Fri I run early, then do a swim once I’ve dropped kids at daycare, work, then I find it too hard to get a RI30 session in in the afternoon (besides 2 sessions is enough for the day). Tues and Thurs I do a bike ride on the indoor trainer, then RI30 while DD is aslseep (or not!). Sat I’m about to switch over to a run, with optional bike depending on what we’ve got on, and Sunday will be my long run day.

Re other DVDs, I had googled and it looks like RI30 is better (more advanced?) than 30 day shred, but the 6 weeks to abs seems to get a good wrap. I was enthusiastic about getting some other ones too, but I’ve decided to get through this one first. Don’t know what you do when you’ve got through L4, ie if you just keep going with L4. I thought I might mix the levels up a bit down the track. (that’s IF I manage to get through L4 – it scares me!).

Elleep. Sorry you have to drop out. Great that you can get some walking in. FWIW, it probably took me until my second was about 2 before I started to get back into the swing of exercise (running) again. Kudos to you for getting out there and having a go. Walking is a great option for young ones.

Cardamom. Great day for you by the sounds of things. And yep, I can run 1.5 hours (actually in the olden days I have run about 3.5 hours :0)). I usually do a 1.5 hour run (about 15km) each Sunday. I’m a former triathlete (long distance) (although so long ago now I can barely lay claim to that), but getting back into it again after about a 10 year break. Last year I focused on getting my running back up again, doing a few running races, and this season I’ve done a few tris, planning a longer one towards the end of the year. I did run for the kids recently, and training for a half marathon in July. So the JM is really just a bit of extra for toning and something a bit different.

DdDwMumMe. Yay to L2. I think they must do lots of takes to get it right. I do think how fit some of them must be to do the advanced exercises.

Also thanks to *sugababe* for starting this thread.
