First of all, Im new here and this is my first post.

The birth of my son Nicholas was an amazing experience.
I was due on the 28th of October 2010, But was told by many i would have him early. Many friends placed bets haha.

The Night of the 19th, I started getting excruciating back pain, (Mind you, I was at my XPs work pacing around the bar) freaking out i called my mum asking her what this could be, She told me its nothing, that it could be bub lying on a nerve. So I went back inside, i had the biggest urge to walk. So here i was doing laps around the restaurant. We finally left at around 11pm, The back pain still there, so i took some panadol and tried to sleep.

At around 4am i had my first contraction. Oh boy did i hurt! We were staying with XP's Aunt who was a registered nurse, I remember waking her up and pretty much saying, GET THIS THING OUT OF ME!
I woke up xp and we finally headed to the hospital at 5:30am. Contractions were now around 3 - 4 minutes apart and lasting 30seconds. Finally getting to the hospital after pulling over many times during contractions and stopping to get a chocolate milk. I couldnt walk, I made it about 100mtrs from the front door and couldnt move anymore. A nurse outside got me a wheel chair and helped me up to the ward.

I had an internal done at around 7am. To my surprise i was 3cm dilated and they were going to keep me in. Naturally, i was s**t scared. I called mum and asked her to come in, I remember getting annoyed because she said she had things to do beforehand (I regret that because she had gone and bought me brand new everything for after baby was born)

I decided to hope into the bath to help with the pain and it did. Funny enough i was served breakfast in the bath. The worst, My contractions stopped. I tried walking around and going and getting lunch with mum in the hospital, walking laps, but nothing was happening. everything had stopped. I went back up to the birthing suite and they decided to break my waters. It went everywhere! After i decided to have a shower and relax, they hooked me up to the drip to try get things starting faster. Oh Boy did it start. I had contractions after contractions. At that point i asked for the epi. I didnt want to be in pain anymore.

After that was put in everything is very hazy, because...... I fell asleep! Completely passed out cold sleeping.

Around 5:30pm they woke me up (not really, I was still in and out of sleep) and told me its time to push. I remember pushing once and thats all, i kept falling asleep. Next thing i heard the most amazing sound ive ever heard. My babies first cry.

Apparently he came out perfect position, Arm out like superman.
He weighed 8pnd 3oz. He was perfect, His tiny little fingers, toes.
I didnt need stitches or anything because my body was so relaxed due to sleeping.
