| Mum to two boys!! :O | |
|
So we pretty much have this baby's name sorted but it seems unfair to have it resolved so early and miss out on all the naming dilemmas - especially since this will be our last baby. SO..... I found myself leafing through a name book at the OB's office and came across this one.
I rather like it. I was saying it to rhyme with orange but I see on googling that its supposed to be Aw-rin which I also quite like. |

Mmm I've never heard of it but I quite like it. I can imagine Americans saying it Aw-rin and Aussies saying it more like Or-rin; much like Lauren.

not keen on it - but would pronounce it Or-rin, I would prefer the name Owen or Aaron

i like it - but to throw a whole different spin on it- the irish way of spelling it would be odhrin - its a great name!! I've met some lovely guys with the name.... but I don't like the spelling, sorry! I love the pronunciation but the spelling looks like some odd norse god or something!
I'd say it like - Orin - if that helps! |

I rather like it. I was saying it to rhyme with orange but I see on googling that its supposed to be Aw-rin which I also quite like. We're not supposed to be saying orange like aw-rin-j? HALP I WANT MY MOMMY. Anyway, Is it like Lauren minus the L? That's how I would have guessed. Like as in "oh, this pair of sunglasses are Alph Orin, I bought them from a guy hawking them out of a van." |

Yes, like Lauren without the L..... But the correct pronunciation is Awrin, more like the sound in boring.... QUOTE "oh, this pair of sunglasses are Alph Orin, I bought them from a guy hawking them out of a van." This post has been edited by Kay1: 30/03/2012, 08:57 PM |
