@phagua - yeah, it's a lot smaller than the Elite......we have the Elite and love it!! But with the recalled toddler seat and #2 due later in year, we had to look at something else.
Definitely would have gone with Mini double but the handlebar is too wide for our front gate, so can't get it out.....

I saw the GT double over the weekend and I think it's great!! Just can't bear to part with another $900ish again!! It's in between the mini and Elite - 3 wheeler with all terrain wheels. Shame it has velcro on the viewing flaps, unlike the Elite which has the magnets....Have you seen it in the shops??

I just got the iCandy Pear for exactly the same reason - and the same age gap! It can be both a single and a double, depending on what you want on a day to day basis. So far it's great - not that I've used it with two kids yet though. DD loves it and has been having a ball trying out the different seating arrangements and assigning different toys to play the role of 'Baby Brother'.

My 2 are 15 months apart and I love my ICandy Pear. I used it as a single with DD1 before DD2 was born. I didn't get the capsule though, just the bassinette attachment, and the seat. I find it really easy to manouver, but it does get a little heavy with groceries in the bottom and 2 kids, but I expect all double prams would have this issue.
They are just so cute too, and I have only ever seen 1 other ICandy in 8 months, and that was the apple.

I saw the GT this weekend, they measured it and was 77 cms at its widest. The handlebar is much better (adjustable and without the bar in the middle) and my 3yo fitted great with even room to grow. I'm considering buying it from USA, it's $580 plus about $170 delivery, still much less than the $900ish here.

Thanks for the info! but I don't keep my hopes too high as in their website http://www.babyjogger.com/PDFs/Comparison_chart.pdf

the max head height is only 21 inches, while in the classic/elite is 26 inches

My 3 year old fits fine in it and he is 101cms if that helps any. He doesn't really ride in it much anymore but will climb in and out so I have the seat on half the time.

OP I love my BJ City Select, it's an awesome pram and does everything I want. It also has a huge basket which is great as I hate to use trolleys with kids. I can fit probably 4-5 packed bags in the bottom

iCandy pram apple lets you flick between a single and double. I think the peach does the same. Not sure about the pear though. That's a set double.

The Pear can be used as a single or a double. But please don't buy one - it's awful! It is soooo hard to steer. It has these double stroller wheels at the front that get stuck all the time and makes it so hard to change direction or to get moving again if you stop somewhere. Especially if you are using it in double mode. I can't wait to get rid of mine. It cost a hideous amount of money too - you could do much better for the price.

I loved my strider. I didn't have any problems with it. I had to get rid of it though, as it was too big. I had to take the wheels of it to fit it in the boot of my car sad.gif

I miss it!
