I really only use EB to vent, I probably shouldn't be so negative all the time original.gif

Pregnant with #2. Had a CS with DS in Feb 11 as he was a footling breech, so no chance of ECV or going natural. I did try a few things from spinning babies and moxybustion to no avail.

2nd pregnancy going really well. All looking great at 30 weeks but by 33 weeks - bubs is breech. Frank breech this time, but breech. cry1.gif

Very very disappointed as was really geared up to try VBAC and just wanted the experience of a natural birth.

OB says we can't try ECV as I have already had a CS and it could be risky, I'm also not convinced of the success/safety of the method so am not bothered about this. Will go back to spinning babies and moxybustion to see what happens.

I know I have time on my side and OB has pointed out that it is roomier in there this time around original.gif but also that baby looks 'comfortable' (not sure what this means) and that as I have already had 1 breech bub I have an increased chance (4-10%) of having another.

Has anyone got tips/success with turning a 2nd breech bub AND has anyone managed to try for natural after 2 consecutive C-Sections???

I'd just push it out bum first if it were me.

There is still plenty of time at 33 weeks. I hope babe spins for you.

Sorry 1st bub was breech 2nd wasn't so not sure about the differences there.

Anyway with DS I did the spinning babies stuff but I also did lots of floating in the bath. It takes the weight and gravity out of the picture a bit.

So if you have access to a pool to get a bit of swimming in then great if not give the bath a go, its relaxing too!

I have also heard lots of other "old wives tales" like music being played through earphones down low so bubs tries to hear and turns have a google and if something works who cares how silly it seems!

Goodluck hope bubs turns and you get your VBAC

Bobsygirls - Not sure about going bottom first (was this your experience?) as I already have increased risks going VBAC ... I wonder if anyone else has any experience of this??

JJ98 - I'll definitely give the bath a go. I did try handstands in the local pool (much to the bemusement of the other patrons) last time around and DH has promised to give me a hand with this again.

I've also heard that putting a bag of frozen peas where bub's head is could do the trick!

DH was a breech baby as were a number of his cousins, so I am wondering if this could be genetic?!?

Hi OP,

In conjunction with the spinning babies website, maybe so some research into chiropractic - in particular the Websters technique. You could also try to find a acupuncturist who specialises in points for pregnancy and labour. Another technique I have heard some good reports from is hypnotherapy, so maybe try to track down a therapist who is familiar with turning a breech baby. I am not sure that any of these are evidence based, but they might be worth a try original.gif

You still have time, really be mindful of your posture during these last few weeks, make sure that you are leaning forward as much as you can. Have you got a fit ball?

All the best with turning bub and your VBAC. IF you do manage to turn bub, you have a great change of success with your VBAC, I read a study recently that suggested that women whose previous C-Section was due to breech presentation had a greater change of having a VBAC.

Best!
