What about something like

'Stitches and Sauvignon'

or

'Stitchy Witches Wine and Dine'

or

'Wine, Dine and Knitting Time'

What is the good charity OP?

Ooh I like them too! Gonna have my work cut out on this one! Might do a survey and ask the girls to pick one, its going to be too hard for me to choose.

The charity is the Leukemia Foundation. They dont get any goverment funding and because its a blood disease they cant stay in the usual cancer accomodation.

The only place you can get treatment in W.A. is in Perth so they arange accomodation and travel for people in rural areas so they can get treatment.

No way would I join our local craft groups because this is exactly what they are.

That might be your experience but our group isnt like that at all.

Thats why we think its funny because its the total opposite of what we are.

We dont just do craft, we do all sorts of things from self defence lessons to make up artistry workshops to movie nights and other things to fundraise for charities.

The women in our group are all very intelligent and range from SAHMs to doctors, journalisists & environmental engineers. Some single, married, kids, no kids - theres all sorts in our group!

Plus aren't we trying to break down negative stereotypes? Why is it assumed women getting together are b**ching? I'm not personally offended, but I don't like it.

All of them are knitting terms. 'Yarn' just has the double meaning of telling stories as well. original.gif

It wouldn't offend me. But it wouldn't encourage me to go either. The comment would be funnier if it wasn't actually true. original.gif
