My womens social group is holding a small fundraiser to raise money for a charity.

Its a lunch/ knitting/ wine tasting session at a local winery.

We call it Stitch and b**ch.

If you were invited to a Stitch and b**ch session or saw it written on a poster ect would it offend you?

If people find it offensive is there another name we could use for it?

I'd actually be really annoyed if I saw it on a poster. My DD1 is learning to read and has a crack at reading everything. She'd be all over me to explain what Stitch and b**ch meant and I don't think it's appropriate for a 5 year old.

To be perfectly honest, it smacks of a group of middle aged women trying to sound young and hip. I think you'd get more in if you mentioned the wine and food part of it rather than sitting around knitting/b**ching.

That stung a little bit but thanks for your honesty.
