Mrs S I am sorry you didn't get fantastic news. I hope twin 2 is going ok and that your next scan goes better. hugs to you!

Des hen I'm jealous you have a car to sleep in at lunch! I work in the CBD so no such luck. I hear the fatigue should end for me soon as I'm entering second trimester soon.

Pz OMG that's such lovely news that you are having twins! How special hheart.gif hheart.gif

Hooloo, thats good you have a specialist Ob so you know he will look after you and baby really well. When do you meet him? And yay to a spew!

Jlove, yes I think its better to have the bath and change table separate. One is because Im guessing you need to put baby straight on the change table after bath to dry and nappy up etc, and also to use the change table through the day you would have to make sure you have dried out the bath underneath properly to prevent mould and moisture etc iykwim? Yes Ive been watching birth clips on youtube and its like the body just completely takes over and you have no choice but to go with the ride. Awww DH whispering secrets to your bug sounds so cute!

Fairey thats some nice purchases you have there happy.gif And yes medical clinics should not make calls like that to patients! And a huge congrats on reaching 24weeks, another milestone to celebrate.

Mojo thanks for the sids info and cot protectors. Maybe I should just put down some thick towels instead until bub is a little bigger... oooohhhh you are going to have so much fun with the Bee!!! and LOVE the Man pram idea cool.gif

Ah so it was the mysterious Marylou who bought the preg seat belt. So glad you had a nice baby moon.

Wahoooooo Olive baby and Deshen - positive scans all round here atm! ddance.gif I hope things get clarified next scan with regards to your kidneys and ovaries, Deshen. The first things I bought were clothes, wash cloths, blankets... and then it just continued on from there! If you like Ill make up a list of everything we have gotten so far. 15th May is so soon!

PCM and Sonmat, nausea and fatigue are a great sign. Even though they make you feel so yucky and depressed! I got the bonds mat knickers pretty early on because my tummy was bloated and tender: http://www.bonds.com.au/maternity/bumps-bi...=74&142=777
You can also find them on ebay. I got a bunch of clothes off ebay and am glad I did now! Also got some from a mat store to wear to work.

Little Lion, I had no idea what the gender was up until about a few days before the scan and I was leaning towards boy. But I really had no idea for so long! Wonder if you will find out?! How many weeks will you be? Oh just looked and you will be 15 weeks. Wooooooo that is SO 2nd tri!

MrsS I am so sorry to hear the news wasnt great for one twin. Wish you didnt lose your post, isnt that so annoying. I really hope the little one comes through okay and starts behaving herself! Sending you big cyber hugs bbighug.gif

AFM we ended up getting the $600 City Mini GT stroller which is $200 more than the City Mini. This one has better tyres for all terraine (So I can go over thick grass, rocks etc) and when you put the back down to reclining position to put a new born in, it's longer and fits our Phil&Teds cocoon given to us by a friend. So we are happy! We had to order it though and might take quite a few weeks. We got it in black and grey. http://www.babyjogger.com/city_miniGT_sngl_dtl.aspx
I have really tired days and then energetic days. Days where the top of my ribs is agony and other days where its fine. Baby seems to love hanging out on the right side for some reason wub.gif When I have a braxton hicks I often feel what seems to be his little bum poking out, because my tummy goes completely lop sided and cone shaped! Im getting the urge now to sort through the baby clothes into sizes and put the size 0000 and 000 in the baskets and drawers ready for baby mmmmmm wub.gif I found the other day I have a varicose vein down there sad.gif Its swollen and hurts but not all the time. Am going to tell Dr on Monday. xxx

COngrats to Des Hen on the great scan! Did you find out if you have only one kidney?

Fairey- Nice cot! Will you be using that at home as well as when you travel? Yeah we are slowly getting everything as well, but I am also not going to get EVERYTHING as I want to wait and see what I get for my baby shower. Glad the medical centre call was about a cheque, just shows that no matter how far we have come we can easily fall back into our old ways!

Mojo- How exciting you got the bee! At it always feels so much better when you get it for a good price! How funny your DH got a man pram!! And I cant believe your 28 weeks already- it seems like the time is flying now...

Pz- WOW TWINS!!!! Congratulations! The third mama with twins in here! Hope the daily injections go ok. hugs to you

waves.gif Marylou! glad to hear you had a good time on your babymoon. How did you go with the mountainbiking? Did you get tired quicker?

olivebaby- COngrats to you on the scan!! How exciting for you to see a good healthy storng heartbeat hheart.gif I hope the 3 weeks goes quickly for you

SOnmat- Bummer about your sickness, but on the plus side at least its a good pregnancy symptom! I didnt really have too much sickness but I did realise that whenever I started feeling sick it was because I was hungry. With the maternity underwear (bras and knickers) I didnt get it till I was 20 weeks, a bit late but my body didnt change much. I think it really depends on how quickly your body changes, do what is most comfortable for you. With the bra you should go somewhere where you can get fitted so that they can give you advice on the sizing

Little lion- I am keeping my bugs sex a surprise but I am guessing a boy. I think its cause of my shape, I have a stomach that sticks straight out and nothing else about my body has changed really

MrsS- Thinking of you and praying that your twin 2 will be ok xoxo

Loulla- I am scared to watch a birth clip!! Although I should do that soon....what was your reaction when you watched the first one? Nice pram! Also my bug likes hanging out on the right side as well! SO you are starting to get the nesting tendancies! Go crazy! And ouch re your varicose vein, good idea to ask doc

AFM nothing much doing, had my ob appointment on Tuesday and my diabetes blood test. Scan showed that bug was doing fine and apparently had a belly that measured 26 weeks! So bug has a big belly! hehe! No one has called me about my diabetes test results so I am going to assume that all is ok. Might chase them up next week...

My next purchase will be the change table, waiting for it to come into stock http://www.youngoz.com.au/baby-furniture/b...ngetable-1.html

Have a lovely weekend ladies!

Jlove, omg i love that change table/drawers! Thats nice baby is big and healthy. Hope the GD results come back fine.
Here is a link of a birth that is okay to watch IMO. Im not sure though if Im even allowed to put this link up? If not, sorry mods. Please girls only click on it if you want to watch every detail of third stage labour and birth! Watching clips doesnt scare me, in fact it reassures me because most of them are way less dramatic than people think.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwIrcx4TNeA...feature=related
The bad thing about Youtube though is it shows other clips to watch that are similar and some you dont want to click on because they are creepy and nothing to do with the natural wonder of birth!

Oh no MrsS I hope everything will be okay with your little twin! I hope you can update us soon with better news...

Lou how are you going? any new developments?

Keeping all my fingers crossed for both you ladies!

Jlove you have just made my change table choice! am I interpreting the picture correctly that the shelves in the door can also slide out?

wow Loulla I just spend an hour watching birth clips and every single time when it slips out I have to cry original.gif you are right though it does seem pretty okay... there was one where the comments said something about a episiotomy and I couldnt watch that... so I guess the more complicated bloody ones do make it on to youtube too but not as many (as not to scare people away???)

AFM
still waiting to pop out... finally got back into a gym routine and only gained about 2.5kg so far!
oh and yes very scared about telling my boss tomorrow...

Hi Everyone,

I think its time for me to leave the ttc group and join you in here (if you'll have me of course wink.gif )

I got a bfp last Wednesday and have done 3 tests since then all getting darker.

I cant say there's not nerves there but I am trying really hard to focus on the present and not think about the future as I cant control that. And at the moment Im really grateful to be given another chance so Im just trying to let myself be happy about that.

(ps Fairey - Ive been ph34r.gif for a few days and OMG I think you nearly gave me heart failure waiting for your update about the phone call - I was so worried for you. Very glad all is ok!)

Hello lovely ladies, been away for a bit..

Well, had a bit of a scare on Saturday - some spotting at week 6 and a bit. I went into a panic but thankfully it has stopped.

I had a blood test on Sunday. My hcg is around 44000 and prog 282 which was a great relief. IVF nurse was saying that spotting is really common around this stage with IVF pregnancies.

My scan is Wednesday and I'm a bit anxious now. All those memories coming back from my previous attempts....

Other than that... I'm nauseous 24/7 and whatever I choose to eat always seems to be the wrong thing.

Definitely up a cup size too, I reckon. The up side is that now I actually fill out my bras a bit better.

Sorry, no personals. Glad all is well with you all.

Will be back after my US.

Only 2 more sleeps...

welcome Gaia! So happy to see you here. biggrin.gif I hope this baby is a sticky one.

Porkchops mama I'm glad your scan is coming up soon. That blood test plus the nausea must be somewhat comforting though. I willbe thinking of you Wednesday.

Jlove that's a fabulous chest of drawers.

Superfruity good luck telling the boss. I'm sure you will feel a lot of relief once you tell him/her. Let us know how you go.

Loulla that's funny you posted a birth video. I woke up this morning during a dream about giving birth! ohmy.gif There's another first, another milestone. Hehe. Oh and depending on how you count it, I think I'm hitting second trimester today!! biggrin.gif to those who are further along than me, when did you start telling everyone? And statistically when does the miscarriage risk drop?

Sonmat – Hopefully it gets better for us both soon. My ms has got worse and worse which is why I haven’t been on much. I’m just exhausted and ill all the time so struggling to get through work and uni (doing NOTHING around the house).

I bought my first maternity bra the other day from Mothercare. I’ve gone from a B/C to a DD so was getting pretty desperate. The one I got was on sale $50 down to $15 so I scored a bargain! The weird thing is that even though my bb’s are still sore because of the nausea I’m actually losing weight and I think a bit of it has come from my chest so I’ve gone back to being slightly below a DD but not small enough for a D… very strange and annoying.

Loulla – haha yeah spew=good but it’s now becoming a multiple times a day occurrence which is NOT fun. It’s comforting but I’m not going to pretend to enjoy it sick.gif blink.gif

I won’t be seeing the specialist OB until 14 weeks so I have another appointment with my GP/OB/Women’s Health Specialist next week to get referrals for NT and bloods… I’m really hanging out for these next 3.5-4 weeks to fly by so I can hopefully start feeling a little more human and explain to my work colleagues why I’m so useless at the moment sad.gif (a tummy would be nice too). biggrin.gif

Gaia – Welcome to the group!

Porkchop – I had some spotting at about 6 weeks and then again just this week (8) but there hasn’t been associated cramps and it was all old ‘dark’ blood so I’m pretty sure everything is fine. I’ve just tried to compare with what I know a mc feels and looks like and that helps to put me at ease. hugs for a stressful time bbighug.gif

Little Lion- from what I understand there are drops in chance of miscarriage at several points along the way. Milestone 1 is seeing a HB which takes it from 15-25% to about 3% then 13 weeks it drops again then after 18 weeks it’s no longer mc and problems become very very rare. My mum is a women’s health doctor ad has said to me that 16 weeks is when you can start to really relax (she had 2 mc’s and was also relating it to my complications though so it’ll be different for everyone.

AFM - not much to report, sick ALL the time and generally struggling through life right now. Apologies in advance as I don't think I'll be able to get on very much for a little while, just keeping my life in some semblance of order is taking everything I have. I have an assignment due for uni in 2 weeks and am seriously considering asking for an extension as I am struggling to do anything at all but I really hate extensions as they then eat into other assignments and tasks including exams at the end of semester (hopefully by then I'll be feeling better, should be about 14 weeks then).
