TraceyBrown, thanks so much for putting up your blog entry about the Falls. My DH and I were just starting to look at where we should stay when we visit in September, so this was excellent timing on your part!

I've read that many people prefer the Canadian side to the American side. Just curious as to why? Is it less built up or better views? unsure.gif

Peanut, glad to be of assistance! I thought it was better set up, less tacky, way better views Canada scored better on which falls are theirs (horseshoe), pretty parks etc.

have finally started to plan our USA trip. Sadly it won't be until march 2013. 12 days in LA going to Disneyland, Legoland and San Diego Zoo. Will have 4 kids ages 13, 11, 9, 7. Have to wait until then for work reasons.

Can I ask who you have all booked through? My first estimate is about $14K for 12 days including flights, accommodation and then plus spending money. No idea if this is way more then needed.

Where are you going upstate Peanut? We have two weeks on the east coast, starting with 7 nights in NYC. We haven't decided what to do after that, apart from Washington DC for a couple of days.
