Hellooo Well I posted once, said hello, then I got AF and got really sad and didn't read for a while :-( Feeling better now. Previous comment about being blissfully unaware/knowing too much is so true. I feel I know too much and therefore stress/worry too much. It's also really frustrating for me because I don't feel like I'm the one in control. My dad, Mr Oldschool, says 'if I want a baby I should just have one' meaning it's up to the woman but not in my case. My DP takes a LOT of different drugs (prescription!) which have disputed effects on fertility plus he is tired a lot so we don't really BD that often. To conceive DS, DP went off his drugs for 3 months prior and we had timed BDing. We fell pregnant first time (once I figured out the signs I was ovulating, prior to that we'd used no contraception for 12 months). I suppose those of you with your own fertility issues will understand a bit how I feel however the difference is if it's your body then at least you can seek treatment. My DP, still hasn't said he wants a second child let alone he wants to actively try. I know I'll be able to convince him (eventually) but getting him to see his doctor, manage his medications and illness is a completely different story! He finds it so embarrassing and also I think he feels a bit of a failure as a man because he can't just BD and have a baby he has to stop taking medication (which makes him feel like crap and who wants to be BDing all the time when u feel like crap!) Congrats to all those who got BFPs. Oh, does anyone know if BF once or twice a day will affect my fertility?

hi emelsy, I don't think we have met? Getting AF is always a big let down eh i don't think it gets any easier. How long have you guys been trying for? Must be hard for your DP, and it sucks that he feels like that. Is he quite bad if he goes off his meds? How did he go when you conceived your DS. I think with BF, it can affect your progesterone levels, which could affect falling pregnant and maintaining a pregnancy? AFM, well AF just arrived, my luteal phase this month was 11, it is normally 13/14 days, so not really sure what is going on with me, feeling really down about the whole thing and def feel like a failure as a woman. Going to book a FS appointment as I think I need to increase my progesterone levels. Have a look at my chart for this month, temps drop dramatically afer 7DPO. I don't want to temp etc this month, but will have to now as FS will request it for them to assess.

Oh Bex I'm so sorry that AF has arrived again, it sounded like things were looking really good there for a while. I hope that you find a really supportive FS who can give you some answers quick smart! You are not a failure, you are doing everything you possibly can do and taking positive steps to improve your chances to conceive. Duck- How did all the tests go? Fx you get through the next week and don't even need the results as you get a BFP. Hi Emelsy- I feel your AF pain. Sorry to hear that your ttc journey is so difficult, I hope you can convince DH to give it a red hot go soon. As for BF I think you'll be okay, my OB told me to get back on contraception at my 6 week check as BF doesn't = birth control but maybe ask your GP to be sure. Welcome emiboo, I hope your stay here is short and sweet. The ladies here have all been very welcoming. Bellefin- Yay for BD, those opk are so useful when they work. Great that you're ovulating regularly hope this means that if you do go down the AC route you will have a very hospitable, pregnancy friendly womb for those embies. AFM- I'm now sure that FF called O on the wrong day as I had a positive opk on Friday at CD14 so lots of BD done this weekend and hopefully we'll get a good result in 2 weeks.

So sorry Bex Don't feel like a failure, it's not like you have much of a say in what your body decides to do, all you can do is keep an eye on things and seek help which you are doing Tem83, welcome to the 2ww! Tests went fine. DS sat up in the chair with me while they pinned me, then fell off, sending sultanas flying all over the office emelsy, as far as I know BFing can mess with ovulation to some extent but definitely doesn't mean you can't concieve, good luck! Jess, what's happening? We must be getting close to transfer? I am excited for you!!! AFM, will get my blood results back in a few days. Fortunately I have a mother effer of an exam Wednesday morning, so I couldn't care less about the results or the 2ww until it's over! That said, must go study Hope you're all keeping well

Hi Girls Emelsy - Welcome, hope your stay here is short. Bex - Sorry to hear AF arrived and that you LP has shortened....Im in the same boat, my LP is only 8/9/10 days max. Not sure what it was last month cos i was pregnant and miscarried at 16 DPO so who knows. Have you just come off the pill, i heard this can stuff it up for a while. Had i known it was going to affect me this time i would have found something else mroe suitable to everyone else. AFM - CD16 and still no O, not sure what happened the other day CP was open but now its gone back to its old state. Praying that i O on CD18-19 like the first few months and not CD24 like last month. Still trying to do the every 2 days BD though. Hoping the dr has some news for me when i go there, after i eventually O and get my 21 day progesterone done. My guess is its going to be low but i dont think she can do anything about ti until after the 12 month mark? Ive been thinking lately that my DD is almost going to be at school by the time i have another one, i didnt really want that big of an age gap
