clm- as Jess said we have unexplained secondary infertility which is very frustrating as there is no obvious reason why we arent falling pregnant! We tried naturally for 6 months then saw the FS for blood tests and scans. All came back fine so we went on trying for about another 10 montnhs then started IVF. And here we are over 2 years later ohmy.gif
I'm not sure if your AF is within normal range. It does sound like there could be hormonal issues. I'd probably try naturopathy or acupuncture but with someone that specialises in fertility.

Jess yay for AF!! Hopefully it is proper AF. So you will be getting transfer in about 2 weeks? Yay!

I can not remember what else I read in the previous thread..sorry huh.gif

Saw the FS yesterday and we are set to start the Frozen transfer when AF turns up. Same as Jess basically. AF is due next Wed or Thursday.
FS said my last IVf was text book perfect with a top embryo, and it really should have worked blah blah blah...yes thanks but it's frustrating not knowing why a perfect cycle still didn't work mad.gif
Jess interestingly we talked about medicated Vs unmedicated FETS and he said he had been at a recent meeting where a US FS was saying they were starting to see reasons to do every transfer froze, natural no drugs cycle. So basically what you have done- have teh egg pick up then freeze everything and then only do FETS, natural cycles. He believed our bodies were betetr off with no drugs ( providing that all natural hormone levels were OK). So odds of FETS are almost as good as fresh transfers. So all natural fo rme too, which will be easier to deal with. I will be going in for blood tests every few days from around CD 7 he thought. Guess yours will be the same.

Also if we don;t get a BFP from that cycle he will try to push me up onhis list for a laparoscopy, which might then happen in May. It's meant to improve chances of natural conception and may even find a reason for the infertility. Now that would be good to know!

I'm going to apply for a new job! I've been in thsi one way too many years and something I've been waitingf or has come up. I have been putting things of for "bad timing", cant do it if UTD. I think I'm better of just getting on with life original.gif
Well do some work!

duckolah temping and opks definitely won't hurt original.gif And it will give you more info to analyse which I know you love to do lol wink.gif Hope you don't keep the mystery virus too long and you don't turn into a monster haha. I doubt it would affect too much, especially with only a 1degree temp shift. But thinking positive its going to be a 2 day virus at most and then you will be fine anyway!

mummamajeena I have called the FS and told them its CD1 and the nurses will be calling me back soon to confirm start and blood dates! Still a bit nervous that they are going to say actually the last nurse got it wrong and you can't start yet.
I had heard a lot of clinics were not phasing out the fresh transfers from stim cycles too to get rid of excess hormones etc. I don't know really I can understand the theory that your better off without the drugs etc, I just want them to develop a 100% foolproof method lol and guarantee the BFPs!
Good on you applying for the job! We have to stop putting things off and just let things happen and work around them when and if we have to! I think its a fantastic idea, especially since you have been waiting for it to come up so fingers crossed you get it!

waves.gif Hi everyone else!
AFM
Called the FS clinic and told them its CD1 and Im ready to start a FET cycle. Just waiting on the nurses to call me back and confirm and tell me what to do from here original.gif Im hoping that they don't call me and tell me actually no its too hard to fit you in, or we have no consents for you so no you can't, or something else.
Will update!
Jess xo

Jess - Thanks for that, I thought it was the cervix making things a little uncomfortable!! Testing? hmm well if Saturday O then cycle will be 1 day shorter so go with the 30th when AF is due thanks. Oh and can you change my details - DH has somehow become a DP so can you make him a DH again! and he's now 34. Thanks

Woo hoo for AF ddance.gif but trust her to play games with you for a bit. I'll be stalking for updates from the FS's office ph34r.gif

duck - glad I didn't miss any news from you! And good idea with the temping and OPKing, more info the better if you're having tests done. Fingers crossed for you and hopefully everything comes back all fine. And boo to the virus sad.gif hope you start to feel better soon and like Jess said it's just a two day thing. Yep this cycle has flown by for me, can't believe I'm already 5DPO?!

mumma - great news re the FET so fingers crossed AF cooperates and arrives when she should. But how frustrating your FS saying it was a perfect cycle - doesn't help at all. Good for you for deciding to apply for that job. Totally agree that we shouldn't hold back from doing things for what if's so all the best with your application, I really hope you get it biggrin.gif

Hi everyone else waves.gif

AFM - nothing exciting - just feeling a bit down today. DH and I had another argument this morning about what else but money. People still owing and not paying and us disagreeing on the next step. Anyway I know it will sort itself out eventually but I'd rather it sooner than later given the ATO is about to get nasty with us. So frustrating to know you can pay all your bills if people just paid us.

Sorry, there's my whinge for the day. 5DPO here and absolutely no symptoms so far which is the complete opposite to last month! I think I was already getting sore BB's this time last cycle. Oh well, will find out next Friday one way or another.

Hope you're all having a great day

at work so doing a sneaky message... promise to do personals tonight.

ok, i need some advice... this sat is our mothers group joint 2nd birthday for our little ones, was looking forward to seeing everyone, until, i realised that i am the only one who hasn't had a second baby, or is not currently pregnant, now i am not sure if i really want to go as all the chat will be about the latest additions and additions to be. Am i really selfish for feeling this way, should i just bite the bullet and go and stop being so sensitive?? DF will be with me too, so it is not like i will be alone, i am happy for everyone, but just worried about my own emotions?

Also, now i am worried that i will feel guilty if i stop obsessing over TTC as it is what i really want, so if i don't think about it my mind might think that i don't want another one. What the hell is wrong with me lol. Need to destress somehow, was doing really well, up until now!

Hi Bex18, I just had to respond to your post as I'm in EXACTLY the same position with my mums group! There's 5 of us in total and 3 have already had their second bubs (eldest about 8-9 months) and the 4th is currently 34 weeks pregnant with twins. And then there's me!

I do find it hard going to mums group but I also love going because they are now some of my really close friends and I adore all of their children as they adore DS. Only last Friday I was holding one of their bubs and whilst a part of me wanted it to be my baby I was holding, the other part remembered that it will be me soon enough.

They were also very supportive when I had my m/c and I know they understand that things aren't always easy for me when I'm with them so they don't go on and on about babies all the time! But I think that's just us in general anyway. We like to use mums group for some adult conversation!!

Completely understand why you might not want to go but my advice - go. You'll have DF there with you. And most importantly you've got you're beautiful DS. I decided that I wasn't going to stop doing things or seeing people because I wasn't pregnant, you just have to keep living with the knowledge that it will happen when it's meant to happen.

Oh and I think you're body will still do it's job if you stop obsessing about TTC! Our minds like to play games with us but our bodies keep functioning! You'll be fine!
