I've been MIA too.

Pink - All the best for the surgery!

AFM - I brought maternity jeans today and hopefully the weather will call down soon so I can start wearing them. Anyone who has a Jeanswest near them get in there soon as they have nice maternity jeans and have 30% off at the moment. I also went to mothercare and checked out some more prams. I swear I change my mind every week. Last month I was having a bugaboo cameleon but changed my mind after taking my neice shopping as my test dummy. I really like the mountain buggy (always loved mine with DS) and then a bugaboo bee perhaps for the car.

Have considered doing the 3d scan to find out the gender but still in 2 minds. It would be nice as I'm not sure Dh will be able to come to the next scan and I can get the 3d one done afterhours.

HAPPY FRIDAY LADIES!!

Jessie: Yay for feeling movement. I havent felt anything yet, hopefully soon!

Morti: Ive been getting heartburn as well. Have slept a little better last night, I think because I was sooo tired, but its very annoying when you just want to be asleep and you cant. Maybe Im thinking about too many things or something.

Packed: Does your Dh work at an ultrasound place? I wish I knew someone who worked at one, I would have an ultrasound every week lol what a shame you didnt get any pics.

Sg: Wow so surprised you are feeling kicks and your hubby and daughter can too. Im not feeling anything. My libido has increased too, which is great and hubby is loving dev (6).gif

Ayla: waves.gif Long time no see! I have looked in Big W, Target and Kmart as well and found nothing which is rather disappointing. However I have bought heaps of great maternity stuff online, and in a great shop not far from my place. So I have 3 pairs of jeans, 3 pants, 3 skirts, couple of tops and some shorts which are super comfy. Bonds online are having a sale at the moment, might be worth having a look. I think it was 30% off, im going to check it out later. I bought some bonds under bump undies which are sooo comfy and I want to buy some more!

Mumma: I hear you on the prams, I think I want a bug cammy. I think we have just decided to have find out the gender at our next scan on 19 April!

AFM: Wish I could feel bub like you ladies, hopefully soon. The countdown is on for our holiday, only 22 more days before we are off! Had to buy some more maternity clothes for the trip, but I think I have enough now!

Have a great friday everyone and an awesome weekend!

Hi all,

hope you are well!

Pink Wishing you the best rolleyes.gif

Packed to the Rafters wow!! sounds like you really have your hands full, well done!

I'm tracking along nicely, I have been feeling the baby move around lots and DH got to feel kicks the other night which was lovely and much earlier than with our little girl.

I have just told work that I am pregnant, and so happy to have done it given that the bump was becoming very hard to hide. It was a difficult discussion though given I am only recently back from maternity leave and my boss has just resigned....exciting (stressful!) times.

As for the insomnia - I hear you all sad.gif ...my little girl is having a wonder week and has been waking in the night...resulting in me being awake too and having trouble getting back to sleep. I'm just trying to tell myself it's practice for the next one. Goodbye sleep!!

Hope you all have a great weekend. Hopefully in between all the stuff we have planned I can sit down and get some rest!! biggrin.gif

PS Pink could you please add me to the due date list, my details are below. Thanks!!:

Hello everyone,

I haven't posted in a long time.

I am very behind in all these posts.

But to Pink I wish you well in your surgery.

I have my 18-20 week ultrasound booked for next week so very excited ! But we are keeping the gender a surprise as its our first and makes labour all the worth it.

so far I have lost weight which has been rather concerning but it was due to my M/S. But apparantly bub is fine and everything. Its common for women to lose weight during pregnancy which i didn't realise.

I wish you all well in your pregnancies

Cheers,

Indigobabe

After a few days where I was worrying that I wasn't feeling any movement, or what I thought was movement, I was lying in bed last night and the baby was practicing her ballet moves with gusto - then I felt some pressure against the side of my uterus. I put my hand over it, as you do, and could feel her little egg-like head! She moved away after a short time, but it was amazing. It was very hard to get to sleep that night!

What my friend calls an "Alien" moment.

Feeling good - I've only gained 3kg, so my bump looks all the more obvious. My belly is as tight as a drum. No other symptoms except that I am still easy to nauseate, so my boyfriend has to feed the dog.

Hope you ara all well, and Pink, hope you're doing OK.

Hello everyone

Havnt been in for a while, hope everyone is well. Its so exciting to read that kicks are being felt. Im 16 and a bit weeks now, no movements yet

Hope you are doing OK Pink and surgey goes well xoxo

The past few weeks have been a little busy here. Ava had a tummy bug the other week poor thing was so sick but only lasted the day thankfully My morning sickness has finally started to lift YAY!!!!! and finally starting to feel more human again. I have an over active thyroid which has flared up since being pregnant and i was told 2 weeks ago that its not improving on medication this time round and may have to have it removed sometime over the next 10 weeks sad.gif not something i am looking forward to.

Prams: Something i have been trying to keep my head in the sand about, side by side, tandem???? We need to buy a new car to fit the girls and twins into whilst room left over for the pram also. I think we have found the car now and took it for a test drive to try prams into and seems that the Baby Jogger City slect is the way to go but with pram, extra seat and maybe capsules instead of bassinetts is $$$$$$

My belly is starting to pop out but still look more bloated than pregnant with twins at the moment, sick and tired of people questioning me 'are you sure your having twins?' grrrrrrr. Im 3 kgs under what i weighed when i fell pregnant but in time im sure i will make up for it and comments will be reversed.

Have a couple of weeks of uni then on a weeks placement for mental health so looking forward to doing some clinical work. Ohhh and i have my big scan coming up on the 16th of April.....will they be boys or girls????? Cant wait to buy their first outfits! I see my Ob on wednesday so will get to see them again whilst im there.

BumpedUp - Lucky for you with the Libido. Mine did on the last pregnancy once I hit the second trimester but not so much this time, so tired still but when it does hit me my DH is usually at work

Pirelli - MY son has only started sleeping through the night every nightfor a week (he is 4 and started waking at night at 19 months - perfect baby slept through) but now every time I need to pee in the night it takes me hours to get back to sleep - no wonder I always feel tired.

IndigoBabe82 - Yes I lost weight with my 1st pregnancy but unfortunely just keep gaining this time.

Catirving - Oh what a sweet moment and because I haven't said it before congratulations on the girl.

lisa83 - Sorry you might have to have your thyroid out. As a self confessed pramoholic I think it's worth $ upfront for a decent pram that will do what you need to make your life easier especially with twins.

Not much to say for me. Upset that I keep gaining weight - I'm really struggling emotionally with it actually. I think I need to meantion it to my GP at my next appointment.

Good Monday Morning everyone!!

First and Foremost PINK - We are all hope you are feeling better and you are part of mine, and I speak for eveyone else here, everyones thoughts and good wishes! Come back soon... Umm NO, maybe rest instead!
original.gif original.gif

BumpedUp - No my hubby works for a company that makes and sells U/S machines (and other products). They have one in the office, but it would be a bit weird me turning up and just asking to be scanned, lol. Mmm ... Imagine the look on the receptionist's face!!! roll2.gif

pirelli - I here you about the sleep issue, I have a week or so of no sleep and then I get so over-tired and crash!! This usually happens when I uni work due in. rolleyes.gif

lisa83 - OOh So exciting, boys or girls!!!! I can't wait! I also have 3 weeks of uni until my placement, yay! But im doing teaching. I think my placement is going to be exhausting... I have class plans to do and 3 weeks of full-time teaching! Regarding prams, have a look at the twingo, my friend brought one, and likes the fact that the seats are individual (one can face you and the other face away, If you want) - This function may be handy when they are older and one wants to wake the other!!
Regarding the thyroid, was this an issue last pregnancy? I have a hypo thyroid too and have been taking medication for the first time. I will get it checked again next appt. What happens if they take it out? Don't you need it?

*Mumma-to-A* - Don't fret about weight, I've put on over 10kg!! I'm scared to get on the scales now! But I alsways gained heaps, up to 30kg and then drop it very quickly after birth.

Hi to everyone else, I'm off to sort out kiddies that are on school hoildays! smile1.gif

Good Morning ladies original.gif

Pirelli: Another Christie, Im Kristie too!

Indigo: yay for your scan next week, mines not till the 19th! Feels like so long away!

Catirving: Congrats on your little girl!

Lisa: Your not alone, Im 17 wks and not feeling anything either. I was mega hyperthyriod and have graves disease and had my thyriod out in June last year, so if you need to talk to someone about it, please feel free to PM me as I would be happy to help. Im very glad that I got mine removed and feel so much better now and it was a good thing deciding to have mine removed because once it was removed they actually found a small cancerous tumour inside it. What meds are you taking, PTU?

Mumma: try not to worry and stress about the weight gain, its all for a good cause, making a healthy bub!

[quote name='*Mumma-to-A*' date='02/04/2012, 12:34 AM' post='14451270']

Packed: lol would be funny though. To answer your questions re thryiodectomy. When you remove your thryoid you will need to be on Thyroid replacement meds for the rest of your life (Thyroxine- if you are Hypo you are probably on these? - They are a direct replacement of what our body produces anyway so are not harmful to us at all as opposed to some of the other Synthetic meds like PTU and NeoMercazole - I was on PTU and Neo Mercazole for about 6 months and in that time, my liver function got really bad and I generally didnt feel well.)

AFM: 17 wks yesterday! Still hanging to feel some movement, all I can feel is my own pulse in my belly! Not in the mood for work today, I have a fair bit to do though!
Ive got my next OB appt next Tuesday and am really hoping I will get to see Bubs again!

20 more sleeps till our holiday as well! So excited!

Have a great day everyone!
