Jack of all trades, Master of none
Hi, does anyone have any recommendations on boarding kennels in Southern River area ?
We need somewhere that is safe and clean and also has a good reputation for looking after dogs.
Thanks, Jackie

It is up near Wanneroo, but Northern Suburbs Pet Chalets (NSPC) are wonderful. We have used them for YEARS leaving our dogs there for up to a month at times. It is a small kennel (so book as early as possible) but the owners run it and get to know the dogs like carers in a daycare know the kids. They are also really good with their disease control and hygiene. Because there are many kennels in the area who walk their dogs near Lake Adams kennel cough can be a problem in kennels through this area, NSPC dont take the dogs there for this reason.

ashridge have a great rep in the industry (I work in the pet industry too) Canningvale Boarding Kennels is also a good one.

I'd be wary of any that let the dogs 'run together' - I don't agree with that practice, and make sure any place you choose requires full vaccination.

If possible visit the BK BEFORE booking!
If you are looking for Easter- good luck. Usually the good kennels are booked up very very early!

This.

We use Canningvale Boarding Kennels and have done so for past 7 years. Never had a problem. They are clean well maintained grounds and kennels, have friendly staff who clearly love animals and excercise dogs separatley.
