Hi All,
Well this is super new to me so haven't quite worked out all of the abbreviations yet, but can guess that you are not allowed to use names wink.gif
So I am pregnant with my first, and it is still early days, but no idea who to pick as my obs.
I have heard great things about AM at StVp melb but also pretty interested inFPH. I plan to take a few tours in the coming weeks but there are so many names around I am really confused. I would like someone with a good bedside manner but other than that rally don't know. Perhaps a female too. I have also previously had a vestibulectomy with Rdid it don't want to use) and not sure if I may need to have a Caesarian, although I am very aware that this is not to be taken lightly thus want some one who can give me good and honest advice.
Any recommendations would be great.
Lys

My tip is not to waste time.

Book in with an OB (or even 2) now.

The hospital can come later (about 8 weeks). However some months, my OB (Samantha Hargreaves, delivers at Freemasons and StVs) books up by 4.5-5 weeks PG.

Mind you, these days it seems they either deliver at F'masons/St Vs OR Frances Perry, so maybe you do need to choose the hospital quickly.

There's a group of 4 female OBs who I've heard good things about. Book now, many OBs are booked out by 6 weeks.

No you just ring up the particular OB and they will ask when your due date is. They will let you know if they have a spot available. With my first child I was only 6 weeks pregnant and had to ring 4 different OB's before one took me on. Couldn't believe it - they always take on previous patients though.

Hi I'm in exactly the same position! I'm tearing my hair out trying to decide! If anyone could PM their recommended obs at FP I would be grateful! I'm aiming for natural delivery if possible! Thanks so much original.gif
