Hi ladies,

We've just found out that our baby is breech.

For those out there who have had a breech baby, when was your baby born? Our OB is telling us to have a Caesar a week before baby is due if baby hasn't turned by then.

Would love to hear your experiences out there!

I was booked in 1 week before due date. Went in to labor 1 week before that so early as well. :-). I wouldn't have booked any earlier though. There is still a chance baby will turn so I would leave it as late as possible. If you go n to labor it's no big deal unless your expecting baby to arrive very quickly or your far away from the hospital. :-). Good luck!!!

My bub was breech up until the last week and if she didn't turn the OB was talking about a C-section between 38 and 39 weeks. Very happy that she turned hope your little one does too!

I've had three.

The first one turned head down between my 39 and 40 wk appointments and was born at 41wks5days. He was 4.05kg.

The second turned head down at 39wks2days and was induced on his due date. He was 4.4kg.

The third turned head down early for me at 37wks and was induced at 38wks. He was 4.05kg.

Unless you have a cord presentation or other issues, or are expecting a fast delivery I'm not sure why you couldn't wait until 40wks before making plans to either deliver breech or have a CS.

Best of luck with everything.

I'm in the same boat, OP. Breech presentation for the last 6 or do weeks, am 36w tomorrow. We'll be discussing our options at our weekly OB appt this week, but I'm expecting to book in a Caesar, given Bubs is pretty comfy right-side up! We'll see what happens though. There are options like ECV or Spinning Babies if you're keen to try getting baby to spin, no luck here though (we're not trying ECV). Best of luck!
