Last night I layed DD#2 on her back on the ground like I often do. DD#1 (2 yrs) & I went into the kitchen to get ourselves an apple, washed it & washed our hands. When we walked out of the kitchen, DD#2 had flipped onto her tummy!! She did it again last night & a couple of times this morning! She's only 3 months & I'm so proud of her!

DD#1 didn't do it until she was close to 5 months ... At what age did your kids roll on their tummys / backs?

How clever of your DD2! My DD is trying so hard to roll over but just can't quite do it yet and she is 4.5 months. I am sure she will do it soon original.gif

Immy rolled from back to front pretty early - around 2.5 months - but I think it was an accident. She was trying to reach for a toy and she had a full belly and she flipped herself over and started crying. A couple of days ago (3.5months) she purposefully rolled from her tummy onto her back - she was trying and trying to flip her leg over, getting really frustrated until she managed it! She did it 3 times that day, then decided now that she has mastered that particular skill, she doesn't feel the need to show it off anymore biggrin.gif

My bub just did this yesterday. Front to back just under 3 months, back to front just over 3 months.

DS is a touch over 4 months and trying so hard to roll back to front - he can go 3/4 of the way over in both directions but the last little bit is getting the better of him - much to his frustration!

If a cat doesn't like you, then what's wrong with you?
Cooper was rolling from back to stomach at 3 months but it took him ages to learn how to go back again. He would have been about 4 months when he finally could roll both ways with ease.

DS rolled at 3 months, learnt back to front and front to back in one day. DD was 4 months.

I like it much better when they just stay still....!
