Cat bed? Blanket? Or on your bed? Something/where else?

Am getting a kitten soon and want to know if it's worth buying a cat bed and what type....

Where does your cat sleep?

On the (upholstered) dining chairs or the couch. I can tell by the hair they leave behind.

Cats are contrary, I know mine at least would not deign to sleep in a cat bed if I bought one for them.

Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur.
I'm not sure mine do, but it's probably on either the bed, the ironing board or the top of the wardrobe in the suitcase.

My cats tend to prefer random pillows on the floor or the tops of things

On my bed, on the couch or on a dining room chair. If one of the kids leaves a jacket on the floor, I have one that will sleep in that. He is also partial to sleeping on kinder paintings if they get left on something soft. He used to sleep on a beanbag that we used to own (before the Rotti made a snow storm).

On a cushion on a cane chair, on the lounge, and on my bed. Right on top of me, usually around the hips, and they get annoyed if I roll around too much.

I doubt they would sleep in a cat bed, but if you are gtting a kitten, you may be able to condition it to a cat bed....**maybe**. Your cat will decide where it sleeps...

Unfortunately, wherever the hell he feels like it. And it changes, regularly. Some cats must, but I don't think mine would ever even consider sleeping where he was 'meant' to.

On the couch, office chair or rug in the lounge room.

They have had several cat beds, they haven't slept in any of them!

Anywhere but the cat bed.

Her favourite location - the holy grail of beds for her is between DH and I's head. But her tail gives away the game. It tickles my nose, wakes me up and she's prompted moved to the end of the bed or out.

Cuddled up to my neck with her head on the pillow next to mine.

Usually drooling.

Well, I blame her, anyway.

ETA - during the day her fave spot is in the 3rd drawer down of my portable quilting-supplies set of drawers on wheels. If I accidentally shut that drawer she won't speak to me at night.

b**ch.
