Hi, I don't belong in this section but:

Our GP recommended Menevit to us as well, after we had been TTC number 3 for almost a year. DH also has issues with his SA, low count and whatnot. All 3 took almost a year each to conceive.

Anyway, I digress.

Within a month of taking it we were pregnant. I cant say if it was the Menevit that worked, or if it was going to happen anyway. Sorry, I know that doesn't help or answer your question, but that was what happened with us.

Hi Kimmie ..

Welcome to EB!

Well, my Mum works for a very well respected GP/Naturopath ... I asked her about Menevit, she basically said its all crap.

Given that, it can't hurt - can it? If you feel like it could be worth trying, then I say go for it. Power to you!

I've heard taking zinc can help for men - I guess that is in menevit? I'm with PP, might as well give it a go.

We used it (along with clomid though!) and my boyfriend says he noticed a few improvements anyway - it did work - 40 weeks pregnant right now!
He also said it was horrible to take and basically the first thing he said after I got two lines on the pee stick was 'I'm going to stop taking that stuff as of today' lol

My Dh doesn't have any sperm issue but our clinic still recommended Menevit, they said even so its a good multi for men to keep them healthy also.

Hi fingers.crossed - I've replied in your other post about why 94% abnormal is actually great news - it means you've got 6% normal, which is a really good result.

But, if you want to increase your man's sperm health, there's:
- no wearing boxers, no hot baths, no cycling, no saunas, etc
- get your zinc levels tested (both of you) - Google 'zinc tally test' - your chemist can sell you a test solution for ~$15 or ask if they have a naturopath who you can test you for free and give you some advice on supplements
- alcohol - avoiding it for 3 months will improve his sperm health

Good luck!

If you look at the vitamins list, you can just buy a standard mens multi vitamin and extra zinc tablets which ends up being cheaper than Menevit as it is a rip off.
