A friend's ex is refusing to approve passports for their children, as she wants to take them to Disneyland in the US and he thinks the kids are prime targets for abduction, saying that Disneyland is a favourite place for would be abductors.
Is he mad? Surely Uganda or Romania or hell, the Gold Coast would be worse?

Seriously? the happiest place on earth? it would be plastered all over the media... and I think , that near home is just as dangerous for abductions..

What research and facts are there to support this theory? Are they the Rinehart or other billionaire heirs or royal family??

More a case of envy or stubborness against the ex, methinks!

Perhaps look at what parenting agreement is in place , and file an application in family court to get passports approved without his signature.

Never heard of it (and the media would have a field day with it if it were the case).

I would be far more concerned in parts of Asia and Europe where white tourist children are often snatched and sold into sex slavery.

My snarking is a medical condition.
I don't believe white children are "often" sold into sex slavery anywhere.

You know better than to seriously analyse such a overtly ridiculous slice of paedopanic as the concept that Disneyland is awash with kidnappers. Surely even the most paranoid would reject the sheer scale of teh conspiracy that would be required to hush this up? The internet is bristling with Disney fora.

It's an urban myth that Disneyland is a hunting ground for child abductors. As pp's have noted, it would be all over the news if it were.

I've heard that child Disney tourists are abducted and forced to work 12 hour days wearing a 7 Dwarf costume until they grow too tall.
