Think it looks great, and the price is quite amazing, considering the overinflated TM price tag.

Unless it is 8x better - is it?

Think might get to Target on a Saturday. I never considered purchasing TM, thinking it a gimmic, but at this price tag, I don't mind a gimmic.

I've been saving for a Thermie for a few months now. I would never have considered a Thermochef so prob won't consider this one. It's interesting though and I will have a look original.gif

Okay, have just googled more and found threads about it on a Thermomix forum and they were sharing the dodginess of the recipe book.

Do a quick google search to find the thread. Not sure if I am allowed to post it?

The recipe book does sound a bit dodgy. It wouldn't stop me trying the Bellini though, for such a price even if it is half as good as a thermomix, it would be worth it.

How long before the thermomix price comes down, I wonder? If the Bellini is any good at all, they won't be able to compete.

love it, love your flaps
It's obviously not going to be as good as the thermomix but at a fraction of the price it's a great alternative for those who can't afford a tmx (or don't want to spend $2k on an appliance)

I'm currently borrowing a friends tmx and it is great but it's not saving me money like many people say as I don't normally buy a lot of processed food, what it does save me is time which is handy.

I think I may lay by one, the recipe book thing doesn't bother me as I'm not normally a big recipe follower and find if you're already quite confident with your cooking your normal recipes are easily adapted for the tmx (or Bellini)

"Your body is not a lemon!" - Ina May Gaskin
i could never (in the forseeable future) afford a TMX. They are awesome, my friend is a sales rep, but I just cant justify $2k.

To have something do similar (even if not all the bells and wistles of a TMX) at a tenth of the price is a big thumbs up from me.

would love to have a propper look at one...

Well considering I would never pay the same amount for a kitcehn applicance as you can on a car I'm never buying a Thermomix. But $250 for something just the same I'd give it a try.

The Thermomix is made in France by skilled workers paid a decent wage. I wonder what conditions the Bellini is made under in China?
