Hi, just wanting to hear of anyone elses thoughts on Crinone suppositories. This is the second time I've been on it. And both times for me, it has felt like my insides are being ripped from me! I know the common side effect is for cramping and perineal pain, but it is quite strong at times.

Anyone else have an opinion on crinone?

'Insides' as in your vagina?

I've never felt that... I just have the "I'm carrying a jaxi full of cheese" feeling/reality..

Have you mentioned this to the FS?

I agree with the other girls - whilst I absolutely hated (strong word, I know) the crinone, it never caused me pain like you're describing. For me, I got a lot of thrush-like irritation & hated the chalky discharge, especially by the time I'd found out the cycle was BFN and the stuff was still coming out days later! It's very uncomfortable using a tampon when it feels like you're still stuffed with chalk.

I would definitely call the clinic and speak with the nurses +/- your FS

I had very bad side effects with Crinone.
After about 6 days post ET I had very bad abdominal pain and bloating which continued and get worse as the days went on.
After 9 days post ET I was waking up in tears due to joint and muscular pain, I have never been in so much pain.
The side effects stopped once I ceased using it.

My experiences with Crinone have been feeling depressed. It really effects my moods. And the cacky discharge after a few days of it, especially if I've had a EPU and the white cottage cheesiness is mixed with brown old blood. Noice sick.gif

Cramping and bloating would be caused by high progesterone - panadol will fix the cramping, and the bloating you just have to live with. As for the other pain, that doesn't sound good. Did you ask your FS about it?

Thanks girls.....yes, I have mentioned it to them, but the response was, we get a lot of girls talking about pain.....but it is a common side effect, they say. It says it in the notes too. Always seems t be worse first couple of days....so hopefully it is going away now.

Yes, the chalkyness is annoying, and I find it hard to know whether it has done its 'thing' to help or stayed in there long enough. It's so hard to tell....a bit like the synarel spray I think. So hard to be sure about the right dose getting through.

I think I'll ring clinic again tomorrow for another chat.
