Our bubba boy came a bit early at 37 weeks..............he was in distress so was whisked out for a c-section - all happened within 30 mins................. he was in the nicu for 5 days due to wet lung......... was very scary! We didn't hold him until day 3!

Congratulations to everyone on their arrivals so far.

My little girl arrived in grand style on the 4th.... Well kind of. My contractions started at 2am, at around 6:30am I decided to call the hospital, I was asked to hold off for as long as possible, as my contractions were bareable I decided to go for a shower, had 2 panadol & laid down for a rest between contractions, at 7:30 they were getting strong & were 5 mins apart so I said to my partner it was time to go. I stood up.... & my waters broke. Then immediatley a gush & pressure, I ended up back on the bed. My partner called an ambulance, by the time they got to us her head was out. As scary as it was, it was an amazing experience for both of us & as much as I think about the things I could have done to change anything I always end up thinking there is nothing I would do to change any part of her birth. My bed looked like a murder scene & I didn't get to do delayed cord clamping or go to the hospital I was booked into but I laboured with no drugs, wasn't coached to push when I didn't need to & had no tears. out of all 3 of my labours this would have to be the best. And DP is a hero in everyones eyes for his part in helping to birth his first child.

Amazing Snafu! I'd gladly accept my bed looking like a murder scene to have a quick successful labour like that! Awesome story.

Congrats everyone else on your babies so far, too. Was my official due date yesterday - still fairly comfortable here, but I'm hoping for a Fri 13th baby.

Now I am home I can put on EB our birth too!! (couldnt be bothered trying to get onto EB on phone in hospital)

Our beautiful baby boy, Deacon Max, was born on the 4th of the 4th at 10.42 pm via emergency C-section.

He was 4.295kg, 9lb 4oz, 52 cm long.

He is eating and sleeping beautifully, and it the most precious thing I have ever had seen (though I am biased!) http://www.essentialbaby.com.au/forums/sty...ault/hheart.gif

Congrats all!

I know I dropped out of this group ages ago but only due to work, not disinterest! Just came back to say our little boy arrived punctually today on his due date weighing a full kg more than his brother - 3970g! Five hours from first cobtraction to birth despite size and posterior presentation - harder labour but deug free, physiological 3rd stage, and the breast crawl was amazing! No name yet but he's gorgeous!

Keep those April babies coming!
