Just popping to say hi to Waiting... I'm so sorry to hear things didn't work out this cycle and understand completely about wanting a break from procedures. My clinic rang the other day to let me know that my 3rd blood test was 25 (down from 41 then 46) and asked me to have another one yesterday to make sure it was down to zero. But I've been bleeding for a week now and SO OVER blood tests and stuff! We're still not sure if we'll use our lonesome frostie or go for another cycle. Just don't want to think about it for a little bit! I hope you are doing ok. Big hugs. XX
Hi to everyone, I hope your week is travelling well. Magenta xx |

Wow this thread is moving super quick this week!
Thanks for all the positive comments re my AMH levels much appreciated. waiting.. - I'm so sorry, this m/c limbo your in is just awful and really not fair, my thoughts go out to you along with a huge hug. spottedcat - sorry your out for the month, hope your next month finds you super lucky with the natural.. you just never know. Waiting & the spotted cat: Dr has not given reason as the results where left on my voice mail, I see her next week but not expecting much (it's my GP not FS). Easter did my head in so I posted on an RE's blog and got a response along these lines: "I have most definitely seen patients of mine have a significant improvement in their AMH. Considering that this hormone is measuring immature but growing/active follicles, it is theoretically explainable. What we believe is occurring is that with the healthy changes that you've made in your lifestyle, you may be more effectively recruiting eggs into that active growth state. Congratulations!" I find it interesting and makes sense to me... perhaps AMH is not always the 'predictor' of ovarian reserve it's cracked up to be - at the very least a low result warrants having a crack at improving lifestyle/health and retesting before declaring LOR embracing - lols letter mixed up OPC was meant to be OCP as in the pill. Yes looks like I might be out of this group (but I might still pop in to see how everyone is). Still got the m/c issues to deal with but hey I will definately take whatever good news I can get. Magenta - bigs hugs to you hon, I'm sure it's been a very hard week for you. I love your humour though, maybe we should all just get a hampster, be a damn sight cheaper eh! As for your question, I'm now going to sit back for next 3 months and try naturally as my FS suggested last month - least these results give me some calm/peace of mind to do that now. thank you so much for your support. Luckyme1 - sorry AF reared her head, i'm keeping my fingers x'd you get back to what is regular for you. pcm - fingers x'd for you too hon. scrambled eggs - I've just started DHEA a few weeks back, but I have some faith in it. 5 years ago when I was 31 I had some real probs with my AF, cramps and aches all over for days that were like having a bad flu, really bad night sweats. Anyways I was put on DHEA then and after 6 months these problems went. Not much of an answer for you re pregnancy but I have some trust in it. Waiting, big hugs to you. Hoping that your body will do its work soonest possible. Two frosties, sounds good!
Nat, although AMH and FSH all may be indicative but I think the best is to see your response to FSH injections during an IVF cycle. My AMH is 6.1-6.7 and I am supposed to be 15. But when put on high does of FSH injection, my body was capable of producing 11 eggs each time which surprised both myself and FS. Have you done any cycle yet? |

Magenta - lots of hugs. Your week has been horrendous. I hope the thinking time is a productive one for you.
Waiting - hope you're okay. Nat - hello! I'm 36 and have an AMH around 5. In the antagonist cycle I just did (first one), 6 eggs were picked up and 3 made it to embryos. One was transferred. HTH ellik - thank you. Also, just wanted to send general positive vibes and a bit of sunshine to everyone on the thread. Hard and harrowing times these are. At least it's nearly the weekend. Hi everyone
Well I'm so over not exercising heavily that I've joined a gym. I won't do anything super intensive but I would like to do some exercise classes. What does everyone here do for exercise and what would you recommend. |

What does everyone here do for exercise and what would you recommend. I've been walking briskly, doing laps at the local pool and some yoga (modified poses). |

Wow! So much has been happening!
Waiting how are you going? I’m sorry to hear the results of your scan. I hope you enjoyed your big glass of red wine. Spottedcat I’m so sorry that it didn’t work for you this month. I hope you are doing ok with it all. Magenta I know how you feel. When I had my ectopic removed, I had to have blood tests every week for 3 weeks to make sure my hcg was coming down. It was horrible because I knew that there was nothing there anymore and the nurses would always call me with the results to tell me about my falling numbers. It’s so understandable that you don’t want to think about all of this for a while, we get pricked, poked, prodded and pulled through every emotion possible on this journey that sometimes we just get to the point where we need to take a step back and breathe for a bit. Look after yourself. Luckyme1 I think getting back into some exercise is a good idea. I have joined a gym so that I can at least do something on my terms and not over do it. Before I started ivf I was exercising pretty much every day and to go to nothing was hard. Hi to all the newbies! As for me, my 2ww is over. I had my blood test yesterday and it came back very unexpectedly as BFP! My hcg is at 780. I have to go and have another blood test on monday to see if the levels are increasing as they should. I don't really have any symptoms so I am worried that they won't be increasing. I have had sore bb on and off and have been really tired and getting up to go the toilet once or twice during the night but that's it. I asked my nurse whether it was normal to not really be feeling anything and she said to count myself as one of the lucky ones but I kind of wish that I had some more symptoms so that I knew things were working. Last night I was woken by the need to go to the toilet and after I got back into bed, I had the worst pain in my stomach that made me sweat but it passed. I feel really bad with all the bad news everyone's had lately telling you about my BFP and still ranting about it not working because I am scared out of my wits that this one is still going to fail. Until Monday, I guess.....if I can get through the 2ww, 2 days should be a piece of cake! Take care everyone xx |

Kels! Congratulations!
Thank you so much to you all for your thoughts and well wishes - I know that everyone has their own things to deal with so really appreciate it. Still no sign of anything happening yet and I really really don't want to have a D&C ... I just feel so prodded and poked and the pregnancy was lost so early I really shouldn't need one. Surely I can't have even more bad luck and need a procedure instead of it just happening naturally! Ellik - I am still super impressed by your AMH results! Here's to a healthy body and super healthy eggs for you! Magenta - hope you are going ok and the B'Tests are coming to an end. I am strongly considering your hamster idea. I feel like a test-hamster after all these procedures and needles ;-) Luckyme - I'm pretty much the same as PCM with exercise - I walk briskly, do some swimming and also Pilates (keep that pelvic floor strong!) Good on you for keeping fit. I never expected IVF to be so physically taxing so I think it is really important to keep your body in top shape. Spottedcat - hope you are doing ok! Hi Mum2One! Hi to anyone else I have missed ;-) Hope you are all having a relaxing weekend! |

Congratulations Kels, it's always gives me hope hearing positive news, and makes me think I can get that bfp too!
When I was preggers with my ds, I had no symptoms for the first few weeks and was so nervous I would miscarry, as I lost two bubbas before that at 11 and six weeks. I lay on the sofa for three weeks practically. Hah! But I didn't and now my beautiful boy is asleep in his buggy. Good luck for the next 12 weeks. And because of your age your chances of miscarrying are less than me and just the same as the normal population. Good luck! |
