and I'm going back to the previous thread too, to see what everyone's been up to original.gif

ETA:

OK I'm here again now.
Congratulations on your promotion PD! I hope you're busy and happy and not too much of the bad stress just more of the good "Yes! I AM superwoman!" variety.

Well done on the -1kg MnM.

Welcome, beccajayne.
Hi everyone else.

My March commitment to exercise isn't going so well. I did, however, make it to zumba this evening, so at least I am keeping up with that.

WW weigh-in tomorrow but since I had a big loss last week I don't expect much this week. I even decided that since it's going to be modest in all likelihood, i will "take the hit" and swap my weigh-in clothes from light linen pants back to jeans tomorrow. I weighed them both on the kitchen scales (yeah, pretty sad, I know) and there's 320 g difference. But I can't wear linen pants all winter - they are miles too big now but also I'll freeze!

oh the things we do to trick our minds...

Hi Everyone

well done MnM

Dogged - I weigh naked (but at home obviously) as soon as I get up after a wee otherwise I make excuses! well done on keeping up with Zumba.

i am holding steady at 97 - thats lack of exercise, but my diet is great but no weight loss on that alone - might need to look at the kind of foods I eat I think (as maybe too much wheat based food). i think I am going to start to take measurements as well.

AA - how is the pregnancy going?

bbl am off to work.

JoIsMe - I used to do the same until my home scales died, and I now stick to the WW weekly weigh-in. I found myself weighing daily and then my whole day would be dictated by the numbers on the scale.

Anyhow I weighed in this morning and had put on 200g - but I am ignoring that because I swapped to my jeans as per previous post. So all in all about the same, I suspect. I haven't overeaten nor binged, I'd kept to my points but eaten a lot of frozen dinners and not enough fresh fruit and veg. And no exercise. And a big loss last week, so all in all I am still happy.

Feeling a bit glum for other reasons though - so will have to be careful this weekend, I can already see there's going to be a risk that I'll bury my misery in food. Feeling a bit over the need for eternal vigilance, if that makes sense.

dogged, I know exactly what you mean about eternal vigilance. I'm so sick of having to think about what to eat, when to eat, have I exercised, etc. It's exhausting! I know this is meant to be a change of lifestyle, not a temporary kick, but I sure hope it gets easier! Well done on staying positive this week, sounds like you've got a great attitude.

Thank you so much for the PM about WW, for some reason I can't seem to reply, but it was really helpful. I think I'm going to go to a meeting on Monday. One thing I can't seem to find on the website - am I locked in to a certain period, or can I sign up for a few months and stop if I find it too expensive? Am a strapped-for-cash uni student and I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep it up for...

Well done on the loss MnM!

No news here (no good news, anyway) - weigh in this morning was disappointing, as I expected, but not tragic. I need to work on managing my eating on the weekends. I tend to hold out for Friday morning, eating well so as not to 'ruin' my weigh-in, then let loose on the weekend as I'm out of routine and DP and I usually go to the markets, or eat out or have a special breakfast or something. Must stop making Saturday and Sunday a free for all!

Have a nice weekend everyone original.gif

Thank you ladies! It's just temporary, Head of Maths, Literacy and Numeracy until the end of the year, but it's at a different school, so it was a hard decision to make, because I LOVE my school and my students and my colleagues!! I have never been so happy in a job before! Luckily I get to go back next year!

I have lost another 400gm since Wed, so that is a total of 0.9kg for the week! Hopefully it isn't fluid and the trend continues!

Hmmm, food blowout from me too - I had guests for dinner and made all sorts of yummy things, finishing with a chocolate pavlova. And then I had a craving for a glass of port. dev (6).gif

Managed to offload most of the leftovers but ended up covering the last piece of pavlova with leftover dried out seed mustard then threw it in the bin - so there was definitely no temptation. This was the first time in ages that I've haven't felt in charge of my eating; even when I've entertained in the past I've made deliberate choices. On the other hand it was definitely less like a binge than I would have done in the past - I had a second dessert after they'd all left (I used to do that as a matter of course) but then felt full and stopped. So I feel like I'm slowly getting to a point where I will have a relationship with food that I can live with, long term.

I should exercise this morning but didn't sleep well last night (rich food and wine - serves me right). If it were not for DS I'd go back to bed!
