Hi everyone, we've been busy posting in here lately, had to go back ages to find my last big post!

Tem - sorry AF arrived. Isn't it frustrating when our bodies play tricks on us?

Mumma - your BBQ sounded great. We've been saying for ages we should have one but even the thought of it makes me tired!

Nurse - girls night was great thanks. Did you get your test results?

Cheri - what a pain about your car. Sounds like DD was a star throughout it though

Jess - yep, girls night was fab, and backed it up with a girls afternoon on Sunday too! Glad to hear AF is on her way so you can start the next cycle with all guns blazing

Bex - fingers crossed the 2WW goes really quickly. The strike and extra work must suck. But perhaps it will keep your mind occupied so you don't obsess about the wait?

Duck - hope your DH has pulled his head out!

Carol - good to hear your doc is letting you have whatever tests you want. Everything crossed for a sticky one!

Gisses - reading everything in your post made me exhausted! Make sure that weekend that's currently free stays that way! I think you're gonna need it to recover!

Hi to anyone I've missed waves.gif

AFM - Thanks for all your wishes for good test results. Everything pretty much came back fine. My iron level is at the lower end of the scale, and the virus I had in Jan may have been glandular fever. So it looks like my body could still be recovering and that's why i haven't felt quite right since then. It's a relief to know there's nothing nasty going on. All I have to do is eat some more red meat and switch to a pre-preg multi vitamin that contains iron.

The only other thing that came up is that I have no immunity to chicken pox (I've never had them). The GP was quite keen for me to have the vaccination but I can't have it until I know I'm not pregnant. And if I do have it then I can't conceive for at least 28 days. Not sure how I feel about having to skip potentially two cycles so will discuss with DH and we'll see.

I explained to the GP that AF was late but that two HPTs have come up negative. She's given me a referral to have a blood test if AF doesn't come by mon/tues as I'll be over a week late by then. I mentioned that I have had longer cycles since DD so I'm pretty sure that's what's happening now, especially with two negative tests. But she said that even though the HPTs are generally really good, she has had cases of people getting -ve HPTS but still being pregnant.

So for now I wait to either see AF or to have the blood test. In the meantime I'm going to drown my frustrations with my body in some ice cream!

EFS

Hey girls, sorry but short personals here based on memory and last 10 posts! Computer at work is playing up. The internet keeps dropping out and when I try to look back at previous pages it dies! So sorry in advance if I miss a question or something.

Pssst - great news that your results came back ok but not nice about the glandular fever. No wonder you've been feeling so rotten. Hopefully you come right soon and I'm sure the extra iron will help that along. Fingers crossed you're BFP is around the corner

caroldiem - had to laugh at your post about Jessica Marais! I guess you look that good when you have lots of $ and can afford a nutritionist and personal trainer etc etc!! Hope you're hanging in there and the stress isn't taking over too much

Jess - come on AF, or if it's not AF and something else - come on BFP biggrin.gif One way or another stop playing because there are strict timelines here!

clm1982 - bbighug.gif oh hon, you'll have a few more days of feeling like this. Just let it be and hearing pregnancy announcements is never easy. I guess the one thing I tried to think about was the fact that I didn't know about their journey or what they had been through before their announcement. But it will still hurt. I know it's such a cliche but time really will help you heal and each day will get a little easier

gisses - wow I feel tired just reading your post! But I know what you mean, you feel like your life is running you rather than you running it. It's not a nice feeling. I wouldn't call myself a control freak but I like to know what's happening and when and be prepared etc etc as most mums do so that feeling of losing control is hard to take. Just make sure you take some time out for yourself, or you and DH together. Even organise a date night or something and have dinner or see a movie. It's soo easy to forget about doing things for ourselves when our lives take over. And so sorry to hear about your friends losses, after you've been through it yourself you instantly know the pain they're feeling.

duck - glad to hear everything went well at your GP - when do you get your results back or are they back and i've missed it? Sorry if I have.

mumma - hope you had a great birthday

nurserobin - hi!

Cheri - hi! How are the holiday plans coming along?

Ok that's all my tired weary brain can remember so sorry if I've missed anyone and hi waves.gif

AFM - ok so 4DPO here (this month has flown!). I got my positive OPK on Friday and think I O late Friday night or at the latest early Saturday so I'm counting Sunday as 1DPO. Ok and sorry if this is TMI, but does anyone else notice that BDing can hurt at O time? I noticed this when we conceived back in September and again Friday night it hurt! But only in certain positions ie where DH is a little deeper. It feels like he's hitting my cervix or something but I thought the cervix was higher during O??? Anyway by Saturday it was only there slightly (didn't need to change positions) and last night all good.

Anyhoo - we pretty much followed the SMEP, we BD'd Friday night and Saturday night but missed Sunday night cos I had the runs (joy!). Also missed Monday (the day we were supposed to miss) then went again last night for good luck and fun! I'm hoping that missing Sunday won't affect our chances given that I'm pretty sure of O time being Friday or Saturday.

Sorry this is short and sweet but hope you're all having a great day

Andrea xox

QUOTE (clm1982 @ 21/03/2012, 08:08 AM) *
I swear there is something wrong with me ever since i had my DD my periods have been very light and even this chemical pregnancy which you would expect to be heavy isnt. 2 days of light bleeding and now just spotting. I think my lining just isnt thick enough to hold onto a baby

Just popping in quickly... clm1982, I think we have talked about this previously? I am the same as you, 2 days of bleeding, but very light, and then 3-4 days spotting... I had a scan one at days to see thickness of lining, and it was 8mm which is about normaly?? I think it is at the lower end of normal tho? I was convinced for ages that this is why i wasn't getting preg, until i had the scan. I am now having acupuncture and he is aware of my light periods and will work on this?

Can you remember what your period was like previous to DD? I can't really remember, but i think that mine was light, but not this light? My hormone levels were normal too - progesterone was 29 (range is 20-110 i think). I think vitex (chaste tree) is supposed to help with balancing the hormones?

Hi to everyone else, will pop back in the next few days to do personals x

clm1982 both mummamajeena and I have unexplained infertility as our diagnosis, so the docs didn't find any answers or any issues with either us or our DH/DF. You could always ask your doctor to do a scan of you uterine lining if you are worried about it, and they will be able to see if there is any problem there or not. Some people do just have really light AF though and its quite normal, so it could just be one of those things.

gisses haha no doubt about it chocolate definitely helps in all ways TTC! Any reason you can think of, chocolate helps! I think that with everything on your plate at the moment it could definitely help you out too original.gif Is there any way you can cancel all plans and free up a weekend so you have some time to yourself to chill out and relax a bit? You are sounding incredibly busy and a bit frazzled! Take some time out and relax and look after you if you can!

caroldiem no more stressing lady! Calm calm calm! Everything is going well at this point try to relax and make the most of it original.gif And I looked at the Jessica Marais picture as well and thought the same thing!! But like andrea said with the money for trainers and chefs and makeup artists and stylists etc etc it would be a problem if you didnt look that good!

Pssst... good to hear all your tests came back ok. If you had the chicken pox vaccine you could swing it to only miss one cycle if you managed to have the shot on CD1. Then you would be all fine by the next cycles O day original.gif I need vaccinations too, and Im putting them off for the same reason Tounge1.gif
Hope you enjoyed the icecream, and fingers crossed for still no AF early next week and a nice surprise on the blood test instead!

andrea yes BDing can hurt at Otime I get that sometimes. I think its just the different cervix position like you said, cause its higher but also more open, so its wider and sitting differenty. Don't worry about missing Sunday you are well covered anyway original.gif Whens testing date?

AFM
Well after nothing all day AF has actually started tonight! Told you she was just playing games! So if she hasn't disappeared again in the morning I can call the FS and let them know that we are ready to start our FET cycle, and find out when I have to do blood tests etc. ddance.gif Although the nurse said she was going to send out the consent forms that they forgot to get us to sign at our appointment and they haven't arrived yet, but hopefully that doesn't cause another hold up or anything!
Hope everyone had a good day!
Jess xo

Trust me... I'm a scientician
Hi everyone waves.gif

clm, how are you? Those pg annoucements come at the worst time sometimes, hope you're coping alright. I too have heard you are more fertile in the couple of cycles after mc.

gisses, ohnoz molars! Like you need that on top of everything else you have on your plate sad.gif Take it one obstacle at a time, hopefully you'll get 5 minutes to yourself very soon.

Pssst.. great that the test results came back fine, but yuk to glandular fever! Poor you sad.gif My body did this to me last cycle, had an LP of 17 days, most bizarre! Hope in your case it's something else making you late wink.gif

Andrea, I get bloods on CD21, so not until next Sunday. Wow, that's a quick first two weeks for you! I find BD'ing generally uncomfortable all the time, so I'm not much help laughing2.gif

Jess, aah AF sure likes to mess you about when it matters! Hope it's all good this morning and you can kick things off for a brand new (and successful!) cycle tthumbs.gif

AFM, temping and opk'ing this cycle (figured it could help interpret my CD21 bloods), this morning temp was up by a degree as DS has passed on his mystery virus to me sad.gif Boo I feel like crap, this always happens when school gets busy rolleyes.gif Hopefully it doesn't compromise this cycle for me.

Hope everyone is happy and well original.gif
