Hi all

I am a long time reader, but have only posted a small number of times, so I hope you don't mind me jumping onto your forum for some advice.

I get spotting about a week after I ovulate - CD 21-23. I also get sore BBs from the day before the spotting starts, so my hormones have kicked in ready for AF. So I just don't know for sure if this is a LPD because I don't know if I should be counting the last day of my luteal phase as the first day of spotting, or the first day of AF.

I'd be soooo grateful if anybody could help me to know.
xxx

The best thing to do would be a series BT - so basically a BT every 2nd day from 3DPO to 11DPO. This will show your progesterone going up and see when it drops below 15-20. If its dropping below this before 11DPO then you have a LP defect.

Thanks for your replies. I've decided to head back to the FS on 3 April, so will ask him to investigate it further. When I mentioned that I had this spotting leading up to AF, he said at that stage of my cycle it wouldn't make a difference because I'd already be pregnant or not, as it happens after ovulation.

However, i think you're right and it should be investigated.

Thanks again.

Hi ladies

I am currently on clomid for PCOS but since taking it my cycles have been all over the place, not ovulating until CD20-22 but then AF arrives on CD25-26 is that a LPD? Do you think I should go back to the Dr's as they have given me no follow up since starting on clomid 2 cycles ago I was just told to go back after 6 months if I hadn't had any luck. Prior to clomid I was only getting AF a max of 4 times a year though?!
