as someone who believes in God and goes to church I must say that the Westboro Baptist Church is a cult and as one pp they are wolves in sheep's clothing. There is nothing 'christian' about them they are a hate group

Also, I don't know why they call themselves a "Baptist" church - they are in no way, shape or form anything to do with any Baptist theology that I know of.

They got me with protesting the funerals of dead soldiers who'd been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. FFS. My opposition to both those wars is clear, but there is no way in hell I'd protest the funeral of a soldier, who in all probability joined the army because it was a job. I'd rather protest at the seat of government that sent them there for no good reason.

Oh, but that's too hard, much better to pick on grieving families. They make me sick.
