Have you received a gift/s from your DP/DF/DH's after the birth of your child/ren?

I personally didn't receive a gift from DF after the birth of DD1, although a few people asked if I did

I have been reading about it lately and how a lot of women expect a present!

WDYT? and also, please tell me what your thoughts are on this article! - offensive?

I don't mind the thought of a man going out and buying an unexpected gift for his partner, but a woman sitting there weeks before birth fully expecting 'something' and trawling catalogues, demanding this or that gift and then being bitterly disappointed when it doesn't happen just seems rude and tacky to me. It's the equivalent of a spoilt child on Xmas day having a meltdown because they didn't get the #1 present on their list, as a parent you'd be embarrassed by that type of behaviour.

There's something about the term 'push present' that gives the impression that it's expected and demanded and the husband better look out if he doesn't get something extravagant.
